Fee WAIVED assets.

Not fee charged assets lol
*
Yup just noticed it’s the total asset waived

QUOTE(XHunTerx123 @ Aug 5 2020, 10:28 AM)
it still waived at the moment because i'm still in referral period but will end soon. But after end, if this is the amount need to pay, then is really have to consider it.
*
Bro 0.8% fee per annum is really low. You are only paying RM8 per annum if you invest RM1,000.

And per month you’ll need to pay less than RM1

QUOTE(encikbuta @ Aug 5 2020, 11:24 AM)
I got a reply for my query on StashAway's fee. Hope this helps you guys as well because it sure did for me  biggrin.gif

Question (by Me):
I have deposited a total of RM 46,500 in my account and it is currently valued at RM 53,200. Based on your pricing schedule here, am I already entitled for the discounted annual fee rate of 0.7%?

Answer (from StashAway):
Thanks for reaching out! To clarify, the annual fee rate is applied on a tiered basis i.e.
- 0.8% for your first RM50,000
- 0.7% for the remaining RM3,200
*
So it is tiered after all... then the 0.1% reduction in fee is not really tempting.

why not?
RM649.18 x 0.8% = RM 5.19344 per annum
RM5.19344 / 12 months = RM 0.4328 per month.
nothing wrong
*
Nothing wrong, I’m just saying the fees charged by StashAway is very reasonable since there is no minimum charge.

Compared to Raiz where you will be charged a minimum of RM1.50 for any amount below 6k

So if we have 3mil with SA, we will still be charged 0.8% for the first 50k?
*
It gets cheaper by RM50 for each tier

to withdraw money from stashaway simple also need to take a few days? If i use simple for emergency fund would it be appropriate?

Everyone has different interpretation for “emergency funds”.

What works for others maybe won’t work for you.

Best to figure out what your emergencies really are

Why even bother? Just continue to DCA and ignore the noise.

If you want to listen to outside noise, better just go play stocks bro.

For the overlapping period of the 2 referral promotions, the amount invested with free management fee should be stacked right? or does it take the higher amount only?

Promotion will stack and run concurrently

Well it's already free management fees, so I'm not sure how they can stack. What, they're gonna give me money instead?

And the promotions are identical, there is no "higher".
*
Not all promotions are identical, you can have 10k and 30k promotion running concurrently.

In this case you’ll get 40k managed for free for that period.

*
I’m sure most of us here have experienced the dip during March, come on it’s like 5 months ago?

If you are not looking to sell soon, stronger MYR is better.

If you are looking to sell soon, cheaper MYR is better.

Correct ?

Should be happy cuz majority of your money is still in MYR, now you can purchase more in USD. Unless you are looking to sell in short term.

Hey guys, need opinions. If I have an amount e.g. a bonus, should I just lumpsum into StashAway OR just increase the weekly DCA amount until all the bonus is invested and then revert to my original weekly DCA.
*
The smarter thing to do is lumpsum into simple and DCA more to riskier profile but not overdoing it until you have to revert to your normal DCA too soon. Perhaps you can stretch your bonus to DCA for 2 years more.

The stronger our currency is, the lesser profit we will get after currency conversion?
I have profit in USD (44.00), but loss in RM (-109.20).
I am contemplating if this is not a good investment.
Please give me some of your valuable advice.
I think I should look in longer term, perhaps my 2 months view into this is still too early. (I started late July)
*
Don’t be penny wise, pounds foolish.

Ask yourself, do you hold more ringgit or more USD on hand? Why frown when your 44USD is less valuable, when all of your other assets is in MYR?

If anything you should be happy that you can buy more USD now since it is cheaper. Think of it the other way, what use is your 44USD profit when your other MYR asset is weak?

not quit, just want to full on cash before the uncertainties  coming
after few months with SAMY my learning is as follow:
1. DCA is a must as i slowly grow back to positive and if i dont DCA i will be still at negative as off today
2. USD currency rate another crazy factor that will reduce your earning
3. my best portfolio is 14%
4. my worst portfolio is 20%
5. some will tell u must consistent DCA but i think you should DCA and try to TIME the market a little bit, if u know USD drop so much then you can bring forward your DCA, if you know now is ATH then u lock down profit a bit lo
*
If you sell when it’s “ATH”, then when do you buy in? When you think it’s low? Then it’s like stock market already

Hmm ive been analyzing my stashaway

My returns r rm700 and ive only put in for 3 months. My capital is rm7400. Isnt tat 38% return? So 30% per annum is possible

Pls correct me if wrong
*
38% return for 3 months is not the same with 38% for 10 years.

Let's see if you can maintain it for the coming years. You are too naive.
