Nitrogen is used in F1. But they also use carbon fibre, KERS, Titanium pushrods and active aero. That doesnt mean normal cars should use. But! if it is free, sure. Like free nasi lemak, sapu only. |

Supposedly the benefits of Nitrogen filled tyres are:
- lower leakage rate because apparently the molecules are bigger (never mind that normal air has about 70-plus per cent of nitrogen - allows the tyres to run cooler The only benefit I can think of is pure nitrogen is dry, but so far I've never seen any rust from using wet air. Do take note that many years ago, one tyre shop I went to labelled the source as Nitrogen but when I traced the piping, it led to normal air compressor discharge. |

when u fill up nitrogen at ur tire shop, u already have air in the tires that it will mix with.
so yes.. no problem... can mix n yes, no problem, later on u can top up using normal air. no need to remove all the nitrogen first. |

Nitrogen air is a waste of money. It is a scam created by tyre shop to make money. The benefit you get from filling up with nitrogen is negligible. Plus you need to always "buy" nitrogen gas to fill up if you want to maintain it.

dun bother nitrogen with normal road cars the difference is negligible. Save the RM5 per tyre for fuel better.
u do realise air has almost 80% nitrogen right? |

read internet articles is Nitrogen better than normal Air
However I currently use Nitrogen air, don't really feel any difference I ask them to refill during balancing alignment, shop normally no charge me TLDR: just fill up and try yourself, not recommended to mix |

Can mix with normal air, no problem .
I dont think we can fill up 100% nitrogen air into the tyre with common rim when installation. |

IMO, nitrogen for those places that hardly found gas station to fill up air..
In long run it does benefit as you hardly need to fill up the air inside tyre.. But in town area which has a lot of fuel pump, normal air is good enough with once a weak check the tyre pressure.. In indonesia they like to use nitrogen, summore its free there.. |

That uncle also tell me the same thing. It says will benefit if travel long journies.
I have a portable air compressor but it's a hassle diy because the hose normally need to screw to tighten unlike those tyre shops where they have clip style to easy in and out without leak Everytime I unscrew it will have some air leak if I do not take out fast enough âšī¸ I saw a decent portable air compressor that connects to the battery connection but it cost 3000$ đ¤Ļââī¸. I don't think it is worth the money unless going through forest or something This post has been edited by Eternalgl0ry: Mar 22 2019, 10:27 AM |
