Greetings, Hi, I am having hard time to choose a pair of tyres for size of 225 45 r18 from East Malaysia

1. Hifly HF805 RM250
2. Accelera PHI RM380
3. Primacy 4 RM630 (after discount )
4. PS4 RM765 (after discount )
5. Primacy 4 rm540 + postage for 2
6. PS4 rm650 + postage for 2
* postage around rm120 for 2

I prefer longer thread life, with better fuel efficiency. I mainly drive on city, once in a while long distance driving. average 4000km per month. young but uncle driving style most of the time. which one will suit me better? biggrin.gif

And one more thing, I saw HF805 is in UHP category, cost is much cheaper uh?

Crazy prices on the Michelin! In Klang Valley, PS4 is already just rm600 or even less. Primacy 4 should be a bit cheaper, surely in the 500+ range, not even reaching 600. Primacy 4 is a very good choice and probably now the best mid range comfort tire in the market now but maybe you can also consider Bridgestone Turanza T005 coz that should be cheaper and almost as good. If you want even cheaper but at least still decent, you can try search for Hankook S1 Noble 2, that one will last even longer as it has very high tread wear rating of 500 but probably would not be as silent as Primacy. As for the first 2 in your list, just forget about them coz they're crap tires!

I have tried many tyres for my 2008 absolute RB1 225 45 R18.

1. Yoko Advan Sport - 680
2. Yoko Advan Fleva - 440
3. Toyo C1s - 500
4. Toyo T1r - 480
5. Dunlop Formula D05 - 380
6. Rovelo A1 Sport - 225

I would say yoko Advan sport is the best tyre ever.....But expensive !

Rovelo is value for money too, silent, good grip in dry i would rec. if u on budget.

If u can afford range 380 400 .... go for formula D05 all round entry level performance....

Yoko advan Fleva....not bad since it is UHP but a bit noisy.....i'm using it right now

The price here is really very high. Sad case. Anyway, I try to check that two rubber that you recommend. Hurm. Maybe tomorrow during my lunch break. Yeah. I prefer higher thead wear rating. And fuel efficient.

That's a very good reference for me! Thanks a bunch for those tyres list. Let me go and check around the famous shop around here and see if they have these as options because the shop here I think might have less choice. I had t1r before on my k car. Quite nice. Just wet not as good as others right? My budget erm. Not higher than that PS4 of option 4. I gotta need a pair.

T1R is outdated model that's not that good to begin with, basically an overrated tire. If really got budget for PS4 then just buy that, the best all rounder performance tire now! Only thing is with your high mileage driving, it'll probably last just over a year.

Hi all, just a quick update, i did changed my tyres to Primacy 4. 2019 2nd week made. Switched to the front, fill with nitrogen to 35psi. So far, I can say the previous noise from the tyres are greatly reduce, however still exist, since i am still using one accelera and one hifly at the rear side. overall seems to be easier to accelerate but this might not be accurate as it all just my feeling. I kind of like the new tyres, doing around 40km only distance so far. total damage 1260. biggrin.gif
