Hi Everyone~!

I bought a SE K800i last month, thru lelong.my (the 'bid from RM1' auction type)

Yesterday, when i looked at my hp, the screen was white / blank (white screen of death???? ) Then i tried to switch it off - cannot. So i took out the battery, and put it back, and then i tried to switch my hp back on, nothing happened~!!! screen was blank (as in switched off)

So i tried recharging the phone, no effect watsoever, screen still empty, cannot switch on the hp............

Then today when i tried recharging the phone, i saw the infrared port was glowing red (note: NOT blinking, it was glowing, i know blinking means low battery power), and then sumtimes the red glow isn't there anymore, then the glow would appear again.

Right now, im just recharging the phone, and occasionally taking out the battery and putting it back, but - no effect~~~~

I know it's not the battery fault coz i tried my battery with my bro's K810i - can work.


This isn't the first time the white screen appeared. The last time it appeared, i just took off the battery, put it back, and switched on, then can work. But this time, cannot~~~


I read in some forums i have to reflash the phone, but, i don't trust my DIY skills, so, does ericserve provide reflash service for SE K800i? Can you quote a price please? (i hope it's not too expensive). Or is reflashing not the solution? Or are there other alternative solutions?

Any idea how much they will charge for LCD prob? My W610i LCD spoil. Got dead pixel....ORI casing as well...i would like to change the housing too.

Wanna know it a bigger capacity battery like BST-40 can be used on W595 which defaults with BST-33...

at my place just only rm70 - rm100............

apparently other ppl also experience similar problem
where the OLED dies if left uncharged for too long

how much will it cost to repair?
I had this when it first came to malaysia in 07, so no more warranty but it is local ori unit.
