Wanted to get a bike for taman ride and occasionally commute to work which is 20++ km away ( one way ).
Which bike is more suitable..??
for me ..PCX cons is too big for taman ride and the price
Vario cons is too small for long ride..
What you can can advise and share your experience will be much appreciated.

Get the Vario. Its 3K cheaper than the PCX. That 3K you can get a box and improve the versatility of the Vario.

NVX price very high oh........ If not mistaken around 13K right ? No doubt the most powerful scooter now at 155 CC.

Ya Vario can save some $$ but izzit ok to travel thru highway / long distance. I don wan the box, just get a good backpack..
NVX what i see is almost identical with vario but the price...
Even the NVX i suppose will feel the same as what Vario offer when ride in highway right

PCX and Vario shares same engine. just design are different. or do you mean PCX hybrid?

Pcx all the way.. pro? Outside tank cap.. . Larger tank, larger compartment. Look nicer

Hybrid..didn't think of it but the higher price put it out of my consideration...
But generally PCX is build bigger for more stable ride right..and more storage space..
For power, i think 150cc is enough for me..i just ride slowly and safely

The point 1 & 2 i'm not really concern about it..for look,hmmm..i prefer the vario

150cc is powerful enough to go into highway...

Rode Modenas Elegan 150cc from KL to Phuket for 2days back in 2005.. true story..

Why not NMAX? cheaper, since you put NVX into the table before...

Long distance comfort, PCX, NMax. since only 20km, still short journey. but if you consider long distance, PCX or NMax is better as riding position helps.

Spare Parts: Yamaha is easier to source compared Honda.

I have a PCX (2015) and my son used it to commute Kuantan - Shah Alam for a couple of time last year. All good. Comfy.

My brother just got his Vario last week. Similar engine with PCX (150cc) but small under seat compartment.

PCX - 130kg
Vario - 112kg

Not much different. Similar.

20km is nothing. Even a smallish Ego LC Fi 125cc can do it.

Have to dismiss NVX now as i heard it's out of stock or only available for loan..
Will check on the Nmax first to see what they can offer..

Wow..overkill..sure o not..but then distance is one thing, how bout the stability on the road..passing those big lorry or trailer...will it wobble too much

for stability (including wobble), u should pay more attention towards tyre. Scooter tend to have small tyre, which in turn reduce the stability.
I have no issue cruising with my 110cc based cub

Wobble only if you hit a stone or pothole.
All bikes will wobble when lorry or trailer passby as the bike are lighter and only 2 wheel.
the lower the CoG, the more stable the bike. be it scooter or big bike

Then sud v upgrade to a wider tyre or izzit wise to change to a wider tyre

So u suggest to lower the scooter...
Or get a bike with low CoG...

either u ride faster than them or u let them overtake youmake sure at least 4 feet/1.2m distances

I'm using Nmax riding for work. Thru and flow 32km per day.

Very stable and comfortable. Only suspension is a bit hard.
Under seat compartment is big. Can accommodate x1 Open Face helmet, raincoat(jacket with pants) & glove.

Pumped RON97. RM11 can go 220km, easily can achieved above 44km/litre.
Many accessories for upgrade.

Guys, I ordered a Vario. Paid the deposit ( almost half) and specified the colour. Dealer said no problem. Just before delivery, dealer call and says price up by 500! Because factory charge for delivery. Some bullshit about they have to t order a few bikes together then only delivery free! The they say give discount only 309 extra have to pay. This is total bullshit. Price agreed and then last minute kasi up.
I turned down their " generous offer". Going to get my deposit back.
Conman all over.

Same shit different shops... to be honest why I dont like to deal with dealers... especially those Jepunis brand..... all Mafia/Samseng when dealing with customer... mahai..

Wah,..got such case as price up after paid deposit..unless you agreed upon it or else the price sud be as per the documents you signed during the deposit payment.
Anyway i just went to see the Vario at Ch.. Ke.. Motor at their HQ.
This guy quoted me Vario all in at 8800 and NVX at 13900. Izzit a fair price ??
I compare side by side this 2, it'a almost identical

Vario is retailed at RM7,200. OTR should be no more than RM500 addition. How come price is increased to RM8,800?

in Malaysia, dealer is more powerful than the supplier. haha. That's why demak went bankrupt.

They told me their selling price olede 8299..i said not 7200 ?? and he said this is during launch...

I have feeling that dealer is 3rd level dealership, meaning they didn't get direct from Boon Siew, but got the stock from the 1st tier Dealer, then another mark up in the supply chain..

I bought Honda PCX in August 2018 from a Honda Impian Shop in Johor, retail price was as promoted RM10,999 and I paid only RM4xx for OTR cost.

Ya.. i know the retail price from all the website but apparently this is wat the shop is doing.
In fact i just called a shop near my house, the sales guy told me that if buy cash, they don't have stock..if you want, only by installments When i asked him what is the reason, he said becoz they don't have stock..so cannot sell cash..what a good excuse...

Could it because PCX is not as hot as Vario..same case with NVX ??

Then walked across the road to Honda Impian..greeted by a smile from the salesman, and enquirer about Honda PCX, Forza (old Model) and other Honda Bike.. they layan me like a proper customer.. and good command of English..

Even though at the end decided to buy a car, but feel good when being treated as human on the Honda Impian, now tabung money for the new GOLDWING... ups I mean Forza 300...

FYI, my brother bought his Vario last month at KST Motorrad, Section 25 Shah Alam. On the road price RM8k. Had to wait for a week only because he insist on silver yellow colour.

Good then, KST oso one of the official BSH dealer ..i need to visit one of them ...8K i think is a fair price

I went with my brother to buy his Vario. Just brisk deal. Went there, told we want Vario yellow silver and don't bother to try to sell anything else, how much cash price and how long have to wait. The sales boy said about a week. then my brother transfer cash to their account. Deal done. not even 20 min. LOL

Just called this KST and Nam Choy, both oso Honda Impian..Nam choy quoted me RM 8200 otr while KST quoted me RM 8300 otr..both oso said 1 week can get it whatever color you want..
Hmm...seem like the price is almost same...can't get lower d..
In fact i did called a dealer as well, Boo* Hu* Motor...he is very frank...cash 9K and have to wait ard 2 months...prefer installment and that cheapest option is goin to cost me 12K for 2 years installment...

How come KST rise up the price too? Last month it was 8k on the road. Must be hot scooter now. or must be because CNY deal? Hmmm

And Honda gives 2 years or 20,000 km warranty. Yamaha? 1 year / 10,000 km only.

BTW. i checked on BSH website, this Impian X V Power Motor is listed as selected dealer and not Honda Impian shop ..
But their FB said Impian X

Now can also buy on Lazada and shopee so any dispute can go through them instead of the dealer.

OK guys..visited KST over the weekends and booked one Vario at the price of 8.3K...i've ask Impian X bt caves as well and they quoted me the same price ..so i choose KST becoz it's nearer to my place...

Can you please share the breakdown of the final price

At this moment i haven't received the full details,just paid the deposit..
Selling price should be at 7299 as both KST and Impian X told me..the rest is for registration and 1st party insurance..
Ya free usual helmet, rain coat and a lock..
When i get my bike i sud able to breakdown it here..
One more reason i chose KST because the salesman can get me my prefer no plate at a reasonable price and he is very friendly too...

Lazada and shopee, don't want lah..nanti lain order lain dapat wei...or many hidden price..and eventhough you can dispute it until high court..haha..what the point right..wasting time only

My experience with Lazada quite good. Even had dispute with rm1000 furniture they refunded.

I have good experience too... Asked for refund, received my refund and Lazada told me to keep the item.

Get my bike yesterday...and yes the overall price is 8300 otr. Insurance costing 350.
Other than tat, shouldnt hav any cost. No plate i bought myself..got a UP plate..
All the invoice is showing 8300 only.

Has anyone used a project fi pulley set for PCX(oversized) in their Vario here? I'm using a PCX pulley set(project fi) now and would like to ask If I need to upgrade my center spring?

Is Vario riding height comfortable for someone at 172cm? And is it worth buying a used unit? It's for old folk to ride within 30KM radius
