Cannot ... if you self-contribute from your EPF app, at the top, it states how much more you can self contribute. It won't let you exceed RM60k (as at today).

But if you transfer from your bank account to your EPF account via the bank website, it may still go through or EPF may reject it and return the excess amount of RM60 to your bank account.

Just received an official email reply from EPF on the RM100k self contribution:

"Kindly be informed that at the moment the capping amount is still at the amount of RM60000 per year. EPF will make official announcement once members are allow to contribute up to the maximum of RM100000"

I would advise contribute via i-akaun.

Once you complete the self-contribution via i-akaun, it will indicate in the "Voluntary Contribution" tab section of the i-akaun to show your transaction details (contribution status, amount, bank name, FPX ID, etc)

If you contribute via a bank's app or online banking, you only get a receipt of your transaction issued by the bank, not EPF.

Last year, I did self-contribution via i-akaun app and I did receive the RM500. When I did the self-contribution last year, I wasn't thinking about i-saraan but I did receive the RM500 few months later.
