QUOTE(DiSaver @ Mar 27 2021, 05:25 PM) Hi! I know it stated very clear those having regular income is not eligible for self-contribution, have anyone tried and what would happened? You can ask your HR to arrange for you to pay more than 11% of employee EPF if you project yourself to have a lot of extra cash every month. |

Thanks for your reply.
May I know where you get answer? Why EPF date reflected on 1 April 2021, "EPF caruman date" is wrote "Apr 2021"? others after 1 April 2021, "EPF caruman date" is wrote "May 2021"? I guess is "EPF caruman date" is wrote "Apr 2021" this is mean start from "1 Apr" count dividend. "EPF caruman date" is wrote "May 2021" this is mean start from "1 May" count dividend. Do you think above right or wrong? QUOTE(ginateo99 @ Mar 28 2021, 08:59 PM) |

Do you think above right or wrong? Simplified explanation Your balance from previous year will be given full % dividend Your contributions in the current year will be given prorated based on N months. For example:- January: 11/12 mths February: 10/12 mths https://mypf.my/investing/retire/epf-histor...onth%20dividend. |

Sharing my experience for self epf contribution
1 March : Deposit through PBB 2 March : Not reflected yet on I-account 3 March : Reflected on i-account after 12am. The contribution date is written as 2 March Conclusion : Epf confirm your deposit one day after you make the online deposit. Reflected on i-account after 2 days. |

Hi,
EPF annual dividend is paid based on the number of monthly contribution. All deposits made by employers must be done on or before 15th day of each month. Dividend will be paid in full if the criteria above is met or severe penalty will be imposed on the employer who failed to do so as to be fair to other contributing members. |

If i had not been working for 10+ months and only started to work in Nov, my boss started to key in my contribution on 10 Dec.... That means I will still get pro rated 1 mth dividend for that year? |

Looking for clarification, asking HR to deduct 15% of our pay for contribution and contributing additional 4% on top of the 11% deducted does nothing for our income tax right?
There was once I heard if company deducts more for EPF, the income tax is lower. Not sure how true is this. Assuming I am above the 6k deductible d. |
