Klopp's pre-match press conference vs Tottenham Hotspur:

Liverpool have no fresh injury problems after international duty.
QUOTE
"It's the first time that everyone came back healthy. It's good. Since yesterday we've had them all together." The Brazilians came a bit later and did a bit less. “Today another session and tomorrow another session. Let’s play the game.”

On Salah's rest during international break
QUOTE
"100% he's benefited, getting freshness in this period. Not only for Mo, but the others who weren't involved on international duty."

On Tottenham Hotspur
QUOTE
“These are exciting times for Tottenham, the new ground I’ve seen only pictures but looks pretty impressive.
“Tottenham played their last league game three weeks ago, I don’t think they’ll be thinking about feeling the defeat.
“We expect the strongest Tottenham you can expect. They will be a strong side. A world-class team will be here.”

Joe Gomez, Xherdan Shaqiri and Trent Alexander-Arnold all trained yesterday.
QUOTE
“Yesterday they were all in training, all three pretty much the first full session,” he told reporters at Melwood.

“We have to see how they react, it was no other alternative for Shaq and Trent, not being involved in the games in that period.

“Anything else would have been really crazy. They needed the treatment, rehab.

“Joe was back yesterday after 15 weeks—what a long time eh? But it looked really good.

“[These are] early stages. He’s really now adapting again to proper football training, after having obviously thousands of rehab sessions.

“They should all be OK, I heard nothing different this morning, [they will] train again today and we will see.”

Klopp admits an error was made in allowing the hype to build around Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s injury comeback for the U23s.
QUOTE
“I think one of the biggest mistakes I made was being so [publicly] excited about having Ox back,” he said.

“The spotlight was on the U23s game at Derby, it was pretty rare. I’m pretty sure Ox felt a little bit [before], so everyone was looking at it.

“Now we keep him a little bit in the shadow. He’s in a good moment, [he’ll] train and when he’s properly ready to be back I’ll inform you.

“But until then, I won’t speak about Ox!”

The manager also delivered a strong riposte to the racism suffered by several England stars in Montenegro during the week.
QUOTE
“I’m so disappointed in our world that this is possible, people use their voice for these things.

“It’s so frustrating. It’s not allowed to ignore it - we have to shout about it and finish it finally.”

“It is not funny but it’s really difficult for me to feel situation of Raheem or Danny Rose. We have to stop games - I know Gareth didn’t do it

“Whatever I can do, I would do. We have to stop games, anything.

“I understand why Gareth didn’t do it, but each possible is allowed in my opinion.

“It’s not fun - so stop it.”

On Anfield's record
QUOTE
"Two of them are Tottenham and Chelsea. We love playing at Anfield but we respect the opponents. They all have their own reasons to fight for points. I don't see a massive advantage."

On Pochettino zero transfer on this season
QUOTE
“In the country of transfers, if you don’t do transfers then that’s a really big headline.

“I’m sure Mauricio would have liked to have added but the players you have you can improve as well. Maybe they are better than the boy you wanted to buy.

“I respect their way a lot. At the end we all have to make our own decisions.

“They had to pay the stadium by themselves right? Nobody knows? So you have to save a little bit of money.”

our games are tougher than City's. no can do except to win ugly when facing seemingly unbreakable defences. WHATEVER IT TAKES.

agree.
unless Salah shows up wif some magical dribbles & clinical finishing, it would be tough against a rejuvenated Spurs.
but we shall wait and see how it goes. wink3.gif
