QUOTE(stickmanchong17 @ Apr 28 2019, 09:46 PM) With Burnley having this kind of full defence, shutting off the centre, anticipating and blocking passes, City are worthy champions if they score. YesN remember, we also need to face similar if not better organized team in newcastle. So if you can beat this type of team, you deserve to be champion. I would say, we have a challenging task ahead, against organized team (Newcastle) n most improved team this season (wolves). |

Battle of tactics tonite. What I like is that we have enough options on the bench to improvise, or tweek according to how opposition respond...

That tackle by rakitic proved to be lethal. Did ref give yellow card...?
And that goal, I think matip should try to intercept that ball. That should be a defender reaction. He switched off there. Btw, I like those cheeky fouls by fab and Robertson... We need them to loose focus... |

QUOTE(stickmanchong17 @ May 2 2019, 03:52 AM) Okay, our gameplay is messed up. Very unlike our usual form. Klopp needs to bring our players to their senses. We don't have a chance ATM, but analysing how Barca plays is crucial for 2nd leg. But honestly, Barca stand a better chance of entering the final. Maybe even Tottenham has a better chance. Not the time to give up yet...QUOTE(Adell G @ May 2 2019, 03:56 AM) Damn this is what its feels like facing a proper cunt like suarez in game lol kimda heartbreaking but we need to score goals with the rare chance we had since barca keep growing into the game Yes he is competitive. That's why we need to provoke him to commit foul... πAnd that wijnaldum position is really wasted, doesnt offer anything at all, maybe can put in shaq and move salah to the middle It's a shame we don't have shot on target. |

Lets focus on Newcastle. I think Ox should start. Hopefully Firmino will be fit 100%

just some random thoughts:
-I think Keita injury somehow disrupt the tactic. Did Rakitic even got cautioned for that? Remember Keita current performance is on fire (man of the match performance in last game). I think he was meant to be the link between midfield and attack. But of course this should not be an excuse, cause playing Gini upfront is clearly wrong and for me the main reason why midfield cannot supply the ball to our strikers. We had zero shot on target for 1st half (IINM). -Some mentioned that TAA should be preferred ahead of Gomez. While I tend to agree, I'm not 100% convinced that he will perform better against Barca attack on the right. In our previous few games, there were instances where VVD had to cover for TAA. I don't think VVD could afford to do that in this game, given that he needs to deal with Messi and Suarez. But agree that TAA will offer more in attack. -and how come Suarez not booked for kicking the ball away. I thought that was cautionable offence for unsporting behaviour. In the end, they were more effective, converted their chances well. This game also showed that VVD needs a better quality partners to complement him. |

QUOTE(youngy @ May 2 2019, 03:17 PM) Difficult but not impossible. As we saw last nite, every fwd pass, every cross into their penalty area must be precise and accurate. We can't just simply cross and hope that it landed on one of our player. Coz once they clear the ball, we'll be prone to counter attack. |

Salah didn't get enough protection, if this continue we may need to consider replacing him just to ensure he can play in 2nd leg against Barca.
Btw thank u Rafa: -for not marking VVD -ur goalkeeper not trying to save the 2nd goal π Who was supposed to mark Atsu for their goal? |

As much we tried, no one can really closely replicate mino function as no9. We need to use other formation, when he's not available.

QUOTE(AnythingK @ May 5 2019, 12:22 PM) around klcc? I won't trust sturridge, yes he still has footballing brain, but he just can't coupe with competitiveness of the match. And he can't play as no9. I prefer ox.Anyway, Barca lost their league games because they literally rest the whole first team player. How to compete? Sturridge or Origi hattrick? Btw, last nite I can't stand Perez and Ritchie... One always fell down at slightest touch the other keep got away with foul. |
