no lar Mr Edifier, this kind of review, we must hv both speaker being compared side by side, I don think they are willing to bring their speaker set to your showroom la, not to mention if they even willing to do this at all in the first place But for me i dun mind bringing my S2000 speaker over to their place for testing if it is within KL vicinity, maybe you can join us too

Ya, I hv always admired Mr Edifier's open mind from the past thread I hv gone thru when I was surveying Edifier speaker.....humble & not the hard sell type but damm, I missed Aego M because I tot it was a 5.1 speaker

Aego M is like pro user in low budget speaker. that what i can say. if you wan to test it i better using a same source to test it....But Multimedia always a multimedia cannot compare......

i forget dy, last time set up them, i just plug to amp, forget right channel got another amp inside o not

S2000 comes with external decoder which include an amp la.

I already did a comparison with my bro AegoM so count me out. Besides Im very busy, 6days work.

My impression of AegoM is a bit like Akabane. Its good but for me, its just as good as it gets. S2000 offers something different. Thats why I said taste matters. It offers refinement, details and smoothness over the AegoM. Though it might lack a sub, but honestly if you ask me, comparing to AegoM, I dont feel I miss the sub.

Added on June 20, 2007, 5:22 pmIMO, not many ppl will pay RM799 for a 2.1 speaker system, let alone RM1499 for a 2.0 system (or RM999 during the promo). The reason is simple. They would rather buy a cheapo 5.1 speaker set which has lots of bass and boom boom boom. I was like that too lastime, boasting ACS48 + ACS45.1 when I first introduced to 4.1 with SB Live.

ACS90>ACS45>ACS45.1>ACS48>BOSTON BA7500>S2000.

i last time use a creative SB 2.1, duno wat model, cheapo
then suddenly own a bookshelve, n the bookshelve much power than S2k
but i still satisfy with AM sound, tat y i will like to take it to compare AB

n tat the reason b4 i asking, since S 2k is a pasive speaker, as u said the decoder come with AMP, i assume the S2K wont sing if without tat amp, wat if pair with better amp, how the potential will go?, tat wat i really like to found out

i try arrange n see how might can do a audition next saturday if i manage to get some free slot

yup they tested it out for me using prodigy 7.1 b4 i bought it unless Marcus lied to me la

as far as i know is the speaker is rely on the amp.....i more prefer a active speaker instead of pasive speaker....

Active or Passive, it still has to have an amp... and in this case, they are seperated as they wanted to include a BB DAC for digital input processing. But I kinda feel the digital connection is a bit of a letdown.

Is this the reason why you felt that analog connection is better instead of coaxial/optical??
