Didn't know SPY pay dividends as well, but yeah US dividends kena 30% withholding tax

QUOTE(abcn1n @ Mar 16 2019, 03:33 PM) Sumofwhich May I ask if you are signing up with TOS USA? I 'had' a TOS USA account for years but a few years ago, they said I have to sign up with TOS Singapore instead and close my TOS USA account. So am curious, which TOS you signed up with and if it is still with TOS USA, how you still managed to retain that account. Thanks Registered with USA, migrated to SG as we're in Asia region

QUOTE(abcn1n @ Mar 23 2019, 01:52 PM) Sumofwhich Thanks Sumofwhich. So I guess you are paying the higher commission now compared to when you were registered with USA. It's the same I believe. They are just migrating our accounts and support to SG.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 8 2019, 04:12 PM) CKI infrastructure, GA pack, ICBC Cromwell EUR reit I got so many more to buy but no money. Tradestation global but login using Interacrive broker? What tip you want? I don't give buy or sell tip. I buy and hold. Sell if fundamental changes. My tip keep your cost as low as possible especially if you are like me, poor fag. Be patient. Keep money. Avoid FOMO. Rising DPU does not lie. If you FOMO, you will never have money to buy. Thank you. Tips as in how Malaysians can invest in SG reits for example QUOTE(alexkos @ Aug 8 2019, 05:03 PM) hehe...want tip kah? sell on top, buy at bottom. easier said than done. true story =) Nope, not those lol. QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 9 2019, 08:17 AM) If you use tradestation global, just transfer SGD into their SG virtual bank account. I have SG bank account so just do transfer like IBFT. Not sure if Interacrive broker receive transfer from 3rd party like instarem. If you don't want to open Tradestation global, can go with FSM SG. But that severely limit you to only SG and HK market compare to worldwide with Tradestation global (interactive broker) You can do it using Malaysian broker also but be prepared to pay higher cost (higher commission, dividend fees, quarterly fee, markup exchange rate) Thanks. Any tips to open a SG bank account if not working in SG? I recently opened a USBank account and just found out the ThinkOrSwim broker charges USD25 for withdrawal. QUOTE(dwRK @ Aug 10 2019, 08:48 AM) Thanks for answering. I still blur to his intention, as I recall ToS charges $25 for usd withdrawal only, to any outside account. So if he has US bank then no reason for SG bank. AFAIK ppl open SG account so as to myr-sgd-usd... so the ToS $25 is probably a red herring Also USBank is a thing... I originally thought withdrawal from ToS to US bank account is free, then use transferwise or instarem to transfer back to Malaysia OR from Malaysia transfer to US bank account and deposit to ToS. SG is purely to mimic ramjade's investment strategy. P.s. I've never used instarem or transferwise yet This post has been edited by Sumofwhich: Aug 10 2019, 12:17 PM

I see, thanks for the input. Yes i use ToS mainly for selling covered calls or cash secured puts. Fees are high even with a discounted rate (some guru) and I'm starting to look for other platforms which allow options trading.
