Would wearing any German one makes it better?

But then it would not go along with the claws and fangs?

Perhaps Proton or Jaguar.....Probably no too.

The design looks awesome and really tempting

However, after 2 min of excitement subside and a cooling head, will back off.

Not sure if the current generation still facing any reliability issues (not to mention the tidak apa attitude by their SC) and any current owner can confirm.

My friend bought a used 407, 2.0 model with non-stop visiting of the SC and he finally sold it after having it close to 1 year. Maybe a lemon unit but just too much of problems everywhere, from air-con, suspension, gearbox, etc. However, it's driving experience is great

I see. I thought you meant previous gen.

Current gen Puretech +4 speeder GB

This new gone pure tech +8 speeder. (Pault*n 'reported it will be paired with 6 speed for Malaysia market since we are not first world country gua)

Not many will want a 4 speeder these days unless you are comparing with Perodua Aruz

the current Puretech is 6 speeder. that is why the old gen 1.6 VTi 4-speed is stopping me from buying. The puretech right now no one is selling 2nd hand yet.

I was sold on design, it has seduced me, make me sign on the dotted line. At that time , it was the only non conforming car model that suit all my needs and most importantly wants. It was cheap. I was careful to only take the safer options of non turbo engine with aisin transmission.

To date I must fess up, the secret joy that I still have is I drive an un usual car, unconventional with all the quirkiness.

And honestly saying , I don't know how to let go of such secret delight that I have every day.

Yes, the car gives me a lot more headache that I have never anticipated at times, and yes, it is costlier to maintain. Still, among the mass market continental brands, it was and still is the brand that appeal to me most.

So I wouldn't be surprised that I may do it again. Get another if the need arise again.

Hmm maybe you're a masochist type then. laugh.gif

Btw your statement that it's 'cheap' actually is not really true if you count the worthless RV plus the ridiculous repair and maintenance cost. It's actually becoming a very expensive total cost of ownership while just having a non-premium regular brand, common car.

Excuse me. Nope I am not.

I mentioned cheap because it was cheap to get one, I was not referring to total cost of ownership.

It is a personal choice . I guess it being me always take the more unconventional path or make odd choices .

Many were surprised at my taste in music, my choice in career, etc..There are just different: different folks different strokes.

Sharp looking car but not something I'd buy new unless it was being offered at a very generous discount.

Hope they bring in the e-208, though the charging time does seem rather long.

NA 2.0 should be reliable. Probably your fren is the unlucky one. But no doubt, cooling coil and condenser would be the no 1 failure. For gearbox, regular preventive maintenance like changing the ATF would have minimise the failure risk.

I certainly hope that the e-208 will make it over here, after all Malaysia is so advanced to even going to show case prototype of flying car already soon.LOL

In any case I don't think the French would want to get left out in EV race in SEA. With Renault Nissan alliance in limbo and hazy making LEAF plan of coming here hazy too. If it is not up to PSA, whom them from France?

Ya, perhaps lemon unit. Normally 2.0 NA is more reliable and that is why he bought then as it is cheap (can't remember how much was it) and a conti.

Mana tau, in the course of ownership of less than 1 year, most of the time in SC, and SC also one kind, no stock lah, test drive lah, etc etc, and he became friend with grab car. He so frustrated and sold off thereafter with low RV, as usual those 2nd hand car dealer, taking advantage lo
