So this is your C:\ boot hdd. Then get another HDD. Install windows and use the failed HDD as other drive. Most likely you can recover important files with no problem. Probably just boot sector damage and still can access. If not, recovery software can be used.

Oh... I forgot. You can create a bootable CD and try to repair HDD

This is good CD (see link). You need to create one using another PC. Use HDD tool to repair the HDD. Probably can still recover.

How was the physical damage? I guess booting problem for the reason of USB damage. I suggest you throw it into your trash bin.
