Do online personality evaluation then check myers briggs for compatible career. Then go for education expo and talk to counsellors about possible courses. I wouldnt recommend jumping into a uni unless specific reason.
I'm actually familiar with this site. I took the test multiple times and I either get "The 'Supporter' " or "The 'Defender' ". The recommended careers for these personality types are counselor, social worker, teacher, administrator, etc. other than scientist and researcher. The test is actually quite accurate, other than studying math I do want to engage in charity-related activities in the future.

For engineering, engineering maths are harder than add maths and maths at school, so if you think maths and add maths is something you can deal with it, with enough efforts, you can deal with engineering maths as well. For engineering, you have to score the science subjects as well (Physics, Chemistry)(Bio if you want to take biomedical engineering) because what you learned in high school will be used in engineering.
2. If you deal with Arab language, you can consider IIUM. AFAIK, my friends from IIUM foundation said that Arab language is compulsory. For on-campus accommodation, I think UTM also have on-campus accommodation (correct me if i'm wrong), but for other universities, you can choose options to make sure you can stay in college, from getting involved in college's activites, become athlete for the university, making sure the college's warden knows you and many more. But for me, your future maybe be brighter if you join these activites to sharpen your soft skills instead of staying years in college without doing nothing.
That is all from me then.
P.S. - once again, this is only my thought, if anyone have other way of thinking, feel free to continue your way of thinking. I'm open to it.
I could handle maths and addmaths very well, but bio was never my forte so I can't take biomedical engineering for sure. As of now I'm considering mechanical engineering. What do you think of it? BTW Which field of engineering do you study specifically?
Yes I acknowledge the fact that IIUM students must know basic Arabic too, it's a shame that my school doesn't offer the subject

, or else I would at least be somewhat proficient in it. Would be a bonus too studying at IIUM.

I'll address your first issue. Since you do like maths but at the same time, need a career path that would satisfy your mother in terms of prospect and salary - i would recommend that you consider Actuarial Science. Do go around asking about what it is and what it entails. It may satisfy the maths in you and the career pathway as well.
First find out what programme you want to do and then find out which is the best university to offer it. Don't do it the other way round.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll find out more about it

And I agree with you on the last part
