I just bought ASUS VIVOBOOK X505z priced RM1.9k. AMD Ryzen 5, 4gb ram, 256gb ssd

Wow, I just googled that model and it seems that's a pretty good deal, since reviews say that the Ryzen 5 is similar to i5-8250U performance. Just that the battery sucks

Good news, Lenovo 320s is selling around 1.9k at lazada, gonna fork out abit extra for DIY SSD upgrade

Consider 2 system below AMD cheaper and the other i5.
* both comes with M.2 slot if wanna upgrade to SSD in the future, get to keep 1TB mechanical drive for extra storage.

It's always helpful if you could let us know what is your intended usage. If you plan to do word processing and some spreadsheets, there are a lot of options out there which could save you money (refurbished or second hand unit of reputable brands such as thinkpad and dell might serve you well and very easy for your pocket)
