I am an STPM graduate with a CGPA of 3.085.

UNITEN offered me to do a degree in Electric & Electronic Engineering in Putrajaya.

MMU offered me to do a degree in Engineering in Electronics majoring in Computers in Cyberjaya.

I'd appreciate it if current students in both universities share their experiences studying and staying in the universities, both the good and the bad. I may only stay for a month as I'm waiting for my public university application results and may leave for it if I'm offered the course I want in a public university of my choice.

I'd also like to know the pros and cons for each university, in terms of accommodation (preferably the hostel), quality of education, facilities, food, fees, transportation etc.

I have to reply MMU with RM 1.8K by 20th April, and UNITEN with RM500 by 6th May.

Your replies will be greatly appreciated. Thank you smile.gif

course-wise, they seem to have difference when it comes to specialization~ majoring in computers in MMU means u study on computer hardware as u get specialized subjects later on in year 3~ i suspect E&E from Uniten to be a general course~ with this said, it can be a matter of being specialized or not~ specialization means that u have to be in the industry or face low income~ a pilot who goes to become a teacher will be paid much less when compared to his piloting days~

lol, dont have to study hard pass with flying colors?
some how I'm studying in Uniten and it doesn't seem that way.

Honestly, I opted for Uniten because it's in Selangor and is about half an hour's drive from my house.  tongue.gif
If I had chosen MMU I'd have to be in Melaka for 5 years.

cost for food is a bit cheaper in malacca when compared to KL~ room rental is also cheaper~ but other costs like comfort of home, home-cooked food and savings through using 1 less Streamyx account and the privacy may be a factor~

generally I would advice students to take a trip and see for yourself~ distance between your home and the university can play a big role~ these days, degree eduction don't mean much after the initial first job anyway~
