 Chrome on android use high storage

Rakan kerja sy tanya
He phone using samsung j2 pro
Nofitication say storage full
But nearly clear all photo & video
After i check notice chrome use up all space
Apps info show something like this

Apps 20.00MB
Data 8.08GB
Total 8.09GB

Cache 4.00KB

What the .... use 8GB data? I try clear cache on chrome nothing happen
There is no clear data button, clear data is replace by MANAGE STORAGE
I tap MANAGE DATA open something like this

He was unable send screenshot to me, now storage less that 10MB

ask him to go to settings for the chrome app itself (click the three dots stacked vertical - normally can be seen at the far right of the search/address bar - and find "Settings")
then go to "Site Settings" (it's close to the bottom of all the settings options, no. 4 from "About Chrome" which is at the bottom)
then from there, find the option for "Storage"
this will list down how much data is stored for each "site" and he/she can manage each separately. this means, you wont have to clear ALL DATA.

btw. I just found out about this after reading this thread.

I go to there delete everything no use
Last i try to clear all cache, make some space first
Then just download chome apk, install it and unintsall again
Now chome usage only 8.87MB

 

Change to:
