 Dell Optiplex GX270 Motherboard, Motherboard failed due to bad capacitor

Anyone can tell me what motherboard that I can get to replace my Dell Optiplex GX270. I want to maintain my CPU, RAM, Casing and so on....

You have to use back Dell motherboard. The original motherboard is of non-standard form, where you can simply swap it with an aftermarket parts.

Unless you are willing to change the RAM and Casing, otherwise, there are simply no other way for you to replace it with another motherboard. I believe Dell will have it but at a price more expensive than the latest offerings.

Contact Dell Tech Support and enquire about this.

Is this can be done? You mean we can repair the motherboard? Do you know anyplace that I can send to repair the mobo? because I don't know how to do it myself....

yes....u can repair urself...i have encounter this problem several times already...get the same type of capacitor & solder it urself or just send it to an experienced technician.

Anyone can tell me where I can find an experienced technician? What about price? Is there any repair outlet in Low Yat? How's the risk?

BTW, I am thinking of buying a new mobo & casing. Anyone can tell me what type & spec of mobo that suit my CPU & DDR Ram? Can the shop assemble the PC for me? Like if I bring along my unit, would they transfer the component for me to a new casing & mobo?
