Hi all! I just got engaged and that's why I joined this forum! I am wondering if anyone knows places in Port Dickson that offer garden/beach venue rental besides hotels? My fiance doesn't really want to do the wedding package because he thinks there's a lot of unnecessary spending/cost that associated with the package. I have googled for 2 hours but I couldn't find anything that is helpful (I guess planning your own wedding in Malaysia is not that common). Side note, me and my fiance do not live in Malaysia so it's really hard for us to find the venue rental in Port Dickson. Thank you so much for your help!

PD. You can't organize any dinner at public beach. So it end up is private beach mean hotel...
Based on my experience Avillion is a good choice for wedding. If u took package.. They might free u 1 or 2 night stay.. it also settle your fiance accommodation as well...

I'm a big fan of DIY and I actually wanted to decorate the venue myself (I know this sounds crazy and it might changes when it's closer to the wedding date, but as for now, I am really hoping to decorate my own). =) I know, I'm the weirdo.

I m abit confuse, you mentioned u r a big fan of diyer, you also mentioned u n fiance not living in malaysia, how r u going to diy your deco? but anyway, if u want to hold wedding dinner or lunch reception on a public beach, you got to apply for a permit thru local council and subject for their approval. So better to get someone or your own self to apply for the permit then only start to decide others. my 2 cents

Mat Sallehs have no idea how torturing it is to have a wedding dinner in Malaysian beaches. Even at night.... it is VERY HOT! I know cos I attended so many beach weddings in PD. Mat sallehs think it is cool to have beach wedding. Up to you la hahaha. WHen your guests suffer and sweat like mad that night, dont say I didnt warn you.

All the beach weddings that I have been in PD will ALWAYS Have the same thing: Non-stop complaining from the guests especially the older Relatives about how uncomfortable and hot it is all night long

Why not do it a 'garden wedding' at a restaurant near by lake side eg Kelana Jaya lake there. Malaysia weather is not friendly for outdoor garden wedding, and not to mention the unpredictable thunderstorm. If restaurant at least they can shift the stage to covered area.. and i think cost is less than hotel https://www.recommend.my/blog/lakeside-wedding-klang-valley/Recently I attended a garden wedding done in garden without cover, ended up thunder storm, all guests running like nobody. It is a very hot place too at night. They have big fans blowing...and irritate your eyes. The girls wont like it cos the fans will blow their hair and make a mess too
