recently i have been trying to buy games on EA origin using my CIMB debit mastercard and the transaction wasn't approved. i called CIMB customer support and i was told that EA origin was banned from transaction. would like to know anyone else having the same problem and why would CIMB banned origin from transaction.
im pretty sure i can still buy games on steam cause i just tried it yesterday.

Have you tried using Paypal.

paypal banned by CIMB as well if im not wrong. and i did tried to create a new account on paypal.

Huh? Pretty sure that's not the case or else no one would have reason to use CIMB cards.

there is even post on lowyat of someone got answer from CIMB itself saying they are banning paypal indefinitely

If CIMB did block PayPal, how did so many users had their debit card compromised with all the PayPal transactions that took place last December?

last i used cimb debit through paypal was earlier december irc.
dont have any problem back then.

i think those that already link their card with paypal before a certain date will still be able to do so. as for now, you can't especially since the CIMB account being hack incident

i just noticed that i dont actually linked my primary cimb acc debit card but instead my cimb kwik acc prepaid mastercard.
so maybe you can try do it like what i've done. hope it help ya

i was trying to subscribe to EA origin access premium and they don't accept cimb kwik. so cimb kwik isn't a option for me at that time. but still thanks for the info.
