my house in johor had basement and it was fine but it was built on a slope. my current hose in kl has basement but we closed up shortly after moving in because it kept on flooding.
*
yeah, i think basement on house built on slope is better because got ventilation and sunlight. so won't have the usual basement problems

celaka far...

there are a lot of flights going into Alice Springs, albeit expensive but it's easily accesible

this place is really deserted from everywhere...

I bet there are more flights to Onslow or most of the FIFO sites than Coober Pedy dry.gif

maybe one day I should do a road trip from Adelaide to Darwin through Coober Pedy

I concur

This is the only other legitimate justification for basement

the only necessity to build undergrd is
- if place has height limits
- cyclone shelter
- bomb shelter
- desert

Even houses beside a slope has moisture seepage.

if u r looking for real basement type of house in Malaysia, I haven't come across any yet.
I do know there are houses along Jalan Universiti in Petaling Jaya whereby the ground floor is facing the main road, and there is a another floor but below the ground floor because the houses are built on a sloppy ravine.

common design if its at slope..
