A ReLEx® SMILE Laser Eye Surgery is a one-step, one laser only procedure. By comparison, LASIK is a two-step, two laser procedure.

During a LASIK procedure, a corneal flap is created using a femtosecond laser and then an excimer laser ablates the tissue to reshape the cornea. During a SMILE procedure, the femtosecond laser is used to cut a small corneal lenticule (precise lens-shaped disc within the cornea) and then it is removed via a small keyhole incision.

The biggest difference and advancement between the two is the fact that SMILE laser eye surgery is a flapless procedure.  Because there is no flap created like in LASIK, there is no chance of flap-related complications.

Not all issues can be solved, some people not suitable for lasik. Usually the doctor will check and advice.

Checking usually RM200++, some willing to give free if u decide to do continue with lasik surgery later (or absorb into total cost)

i just saw optimax customised TESA for rm1500/eye , will go do checkup on eye this week.

i did mine at optimax ....many years back where no gst sst

As far as I know, only Optimax provides lifetime warranty. What this means, if your power increases as you grow older, you get to do the surgery again for free.

Only catch is have to attend annual checkup which is about RM100 or so.

So most of you guys suggesting Optimax.

World wide alot doc jump out to tell the truth about lasik dy.....

All things have their own risk and side effect la bruh.
This is not a scam or what just one of the many solution instead of wearing specs.

You think those specialist and ophthalmologist out there done this blindly without research ke

Dangerous and risky.

Got some people get complications from eye surgery and afterwards became so depressed, they committed suicide. This was one of the suicide reasons that I saw in YT the other day...

Eyes are not something you can reverse.

Even Bill Gates and Warren Buffet wear glasses....though they can easily pay for entire /k do LASIK surgery.

Why?

It's risky.

i heard alot pantang once do lasik cannot mandi air laut la, kolam la, cannot kena sun la.. dunno how true is if.. i wan do also but scared

yes, u can see the smallest letters or second smallest  letters on the chart.
but side effects include dry eyes, sensitive to bright light, blurry eyes , glaring at night, etc. and this will affect most people even years later after they done the lasik

Betul... lucky I did mine and paid by insurance.

Helping to share this here cause I did SMILE surgery with Dr Umi in Feb 2020 and I've been having clear vision without the need of glasses since then. No regrets!!!
