during CNY period, my partner complain that she had a abdominal pain. day after day it got worst. so we had go for doctor consultation and after ultrasound check, found out that she is diagnoses with Endometriosis on her ovary. this morning she went again to consult the doctor and confirmed that she need to undergo surgery to remove it by this week.
Anyone here or their partner had encounter this before, and can enlighten me what need to be done before and after surgery ? any special cares needed or food to avoid during the period.

QUOTE(incubus69 @ Feb 18 2019, 05:30 PM) furthermore she reluctant to take any painkillers. Ask her why she is reluctant to take painkillers. Find out if it's a reasonable decision (actual previous episode of significant side effect of painkiller use) or personal opinion. Since it's an acute pain episode, I don't really see the reason for not taking any analgesics indicated by her doctor.

Hopefully she is fine now. How is she now after surgery? Where is her cyst and how big is it?

I had a chocolate cyst removed about 8-9 years ago.
I didnot have any endometriosis symptoms. But that cyst was caused by endo. No pain for me. Everythign was normal.
It's genetic- my mum had BAD endo. Like cannot get out of bed, heavy periods, MC for 3-5 days kind. She had a full hystrectomy and only that seemed to help.
Endo can return. It sucks, because the cause is ovulation. The endometrium lining grows somewhere else other than the uterine wall, and that is what causes the heavy bleeding and pain.
