Hi sifus, I know there is a 6 months period for first time house buyers to purchase the new property from developer directly with full stamp duty exemption (S&P & Loan).

I am from Penang and I'm interesting in one of the house which sell directly from developer. But when I'm asking for the stamp duty exemption, the salesman said their lawyer is still following up the official document release from government regarding this stamp duty matters.

My questions are :

1. Is it real that government has yet release the relevant document of these stamp duty waiver campaign ? Anyone of you has already signed the agreement with stamp duty waived ?

2. I've asked other developer but they are all quite firm with the waiver and said no problem on the documentations and S&P, I start wondering is it my developer is lack of experience on handling these.

no idea actually.

Their suggestion is to stamp full first then claim for refund later on.

haven yet, actual application for developer to participate the event still haven out. my agent also told me the same thing that lawyer will follow the campaign. At the same time, u might need to prepare to paid the stamp duty for loan agreement stamp duty first. than only will get back the money once ur developer get the certification of this developer for participate the HOC campaign.
