Experienced the crackling sound twice, but just very briefly. It seems like it happened while I quit some application, but I don't know for sure and can't recreate it.

I guess I just ignore and live with it 

I have not experienced this so far during gaming or video playing with my selenite, but I am a relatively new user. I have experienced this crackling sound with my desktop speaker before with subwoofer, if I turn off the AC power before turning off the speaker, probably due to the subwoofer discharging its driver and causes vibration.

For your case, I think if speaker is not the issue, perhaps it could be due to the speaker driver on the motherboard itself?

I have the same issue with crackling sound it came out randomly, if you turn down the sub woofer it will be fine, i guess something to do with sub woofer.

Sry what I really mean to say is that anywhere near the max volume the crackling sound will occurred. In my case it usually happen during opening a YouTube video or switching/opening a music. It doesnt happen often but you do notice it.

Anyway I tried to update realtek audio driver to see if there any improvement but after update my creative soundblaster app couldn't detect my driver, so make sure you dont update it haha

Update: The crackling sound now happen at any volume, really noticable when opening youtube video or playing music

which driver? Realtek or nvidia?

Would still prefer an official solution from Illegear. Laptop cost RM7k, want the problem 100% solved instead of just very minimal cracking sound.

Is anyone experiencing chassis wobble on tables ? mine seem to wobble when I open the lid, specifically, on the left hand rest.

Did you try out on a few tables or only one ? I did a few tests myself, I notice that tables that has small imperfections ( Ie : the surface is warped slightly etc ) is the reason why the Selenite seems to wobble. Because for my case, my house's table is fine, since it's glass table, but my office table it wobbles, because it's wood and when I observe the surface of the table, it's warped ( office table has a slight ,very slight, curve )

I think the Selenite is a good benchmark to make sure your table is properly surface leveled.

Do try it out and let me know.

The wobbling is on which side ? mine is on the left palm rest, I put a piece of 1-time-folded A4, under the rubber feet, it's fine...but the table beside mine, has no wobble at all. It's so mind-effing.

Alright, I did found out something yesterday, my laptop is no longer wobbling now even on my work desk, it has something to do with the tightness of the screws on the bottom lid.

Do try it out, see if it helps, unscrew the screws a little, and see if it wobbles. It fixed mine, hopefully can fix yours.

Hey guys, can I know how long does the battery last on your selenite. I noticed mine lasted 1.5 hour the most on battery saver mode.

just a quick survey here, who is having crackling sound issue right now?

Annnnnnnnnd one more issue after another week of usage.

Owning a Seagate SSHD 5 years ago, checking on Acronis Disk Monitor it says there's some end-to-end transfer error, giving a sign that the hdd could fail. Sometimes it comes out some weird noise, and when i install it into the laptop, the temperature could reach more than 50 degrees Celsius when gaming, loading the files from it. When i install a game to the hdd the task manager shows it loads 100% fully, super long response time, then it just not working, no files transfer. OS could hang and disk management won't see the existence of the hdd, so i have to restart the laptop and it'll become fine again despite still high hdd temp.

Okay, thought that it has served me long, then i decided to buy another sshd and install into it. Just not more than 15 mins it boot up and start copying the files from external to the new sshd, the issue arise again.

Come on, don't tell me the new sshd has problem like the old one????       

The old one i put it into external hdd controller, now it still works like a charm, heat reduced although still has some noise sometimes. 

What is happening to the laptop actually? I want to dedicated support as soon as possible guiding me to install the hdd properly remotely, assuming i DID it wrong. There's a flex cable beneath the hdd location, perhaps it's the cause? I don't know. 

I know this laptop is not the most expensive but then 7k is considered bangsawan price for many people already, and the quality just like this?
