Hi all,
Is anyone experiencing chassis wobble on tables ? mine seem to wobble when I open the lid, specifically, on the left hand rest.

QUOTE(AZIM@ILLEGEAR @ Jun 19 2019, 12:30 PM) Hi SawItComin, we can confirm that the display unit of the Selenite is tested fine when the machine is operated on our showroom (placed on a flat surface). Do you wish to test the machine on our office to check? If there is indeed a manufacturing defect on your machine, we can try to resolve it by performing a bottom panel replacement Hi Azim,Actually this is my 3rd Selenite, it has wobble on all 3 models on certain tables, in my office it wobbles, but not on the room desk. But sometimes it doesn't wobble. It's very inconsistent. Hence I'm not sure is it manufacturing problem or what, but of the 3 models it's all on the left hand side of the palm rest. But I've tried to measure the level-ness of the table that caused the laptop to wobble, actually is the table's surface itself that has issue, my office desk has a slight imperfection on the level-ness of it which cause the laptop to wobble. Because on the table beside mine, the Selenite doesn't wobble.I think is due to the rubber feet being too thin and the laptop being so close contact to the surface, which caused it to wobble, unlike those big bulky laptops, who have a lot of surface clearance. Just speculating here. That's why I'm asking others on this. The only strange thing is, it's only wobbling on the left side. I'm Adriel by the way. I think you know, who am I. QUOTE(mynameisnotryan @ Jun 18 2019, 10:07 PM) Yup noticed that when I first got the laptop and when I brought it back, I was told that the other laptops have the same wobble as well and that it was just a manufacturing defect. I've noticed that also depending on how you put it on your table there could be more chassis wobble than normal. I think that any chassis wobble at all is unacceptable but I'm not really expecting them to recall laptops because of this issue. Hi,Did you try out on a few tables or only one ? I did a few tests myself, I notice that tables that has small imperfections ( Ie : the surface is warped slightly etc ) is the reason why the Selenite seems to wobble. Because for my case, my house's table is fine, since it's glass table, but my office table it wobbles, because it's wood and when I observe the surface of the table, it's warped ( office table has a slight ,very slight, curve ) I think the Selenite is a good benchmark to make sure your table is properly surface leveled. Do try it out and let me know. |

QUOTE(mynameisnotryan @ Jun 19 2019, 03:50 PM) I've tried it on multiple tables on my campus and in my house, sometimes it wobbles and other times it doesn't. Some times when it starts to wobble a little I just pick the laptop up and place it back down again, magically it will stop wobbling. I've given up trying to see if it was the chassis that was warped or the table and will just do my "fix" to get rid of the wobble. Although for the past 2 weeks I have not noticed any wobbling at all. Could be all just in my head. The wobbling is on which side ? mine is on the left palm rest, I put a piece of 1-time-folded A4, under the rubber feet, it's fine...but the table beside mine, has no wobble at all. It's so mind-effing. |

QUOTE(mynameisnotryan @ Jun 23 2019, 11:17 PM) Mine is on the bottom right. The wobble is pretty noticeable at times too, every time I pick my hand up from the palm rest the entire laptop will shift. But like I said before picking it up and putting it back down again seems to fix it. Haven't tried to see if it's the feet yet, I thought it was initially but they look all equally set in. Alright, I did found out something yesterday, my laptop is no longer wobbling now even on my work desk, it has something to do with the tightness of the screws on the bottom lid. Do try it out, see if it helps, unscrew the screws a little, and see if it wobbles. It fixed mine, hopefully can fix yours. |

Have anyone tried booting into safe mode ?
I can't seem to boot into safe mode, although the device is new. Fresh window installed too. The laptop just black screen. |
