As per checking with other users, the sound will be dramatically improved once the Sound Blaster suite has been installed, but you would need to wait for the subsequent Windows Update to be pushed into the machine since Microsoft will be distributing the update in batches, more info can be found here https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4577650/+100

The audible fan noise for the Onyx has been significantly reduced after applying the latest BIOS and EC update smile.gif

However, the Selenite indeed has a quieter fan noise in comparison to the Onyx because the former has larger-sized vents for the ventilation, hope this clarifies~

As per liaising with the manufacturer, the issue is related to the software rather than the hardware since the issue does not persist on the Selenite machines with GTX 10-series GPUs previously. Nevertheless, we are communicating actively with the manufacture in regards to the resolution for this issue and we shall update this thread officially once a patch has been delivered smile.gif

You may use the general steps provided below to calibrate the notebook's battery smile.gif

Battery Calibration :

1.Unplug the battery for the unit and power up using power adapter.
2.Once inside the Windows, right clicking on the Windows icon on the taskbar and select Device Manager.
3.Go to the "Battery" category, click the arrow icon then right click on "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" and uninstall the driver.
4.Shutdown the unit after uninstalling the driver and unplug the power adapter.
5.Plug in back the battery into the unit and power up just using the battery.
6.Drain out the battery and then charge up the battery to see whether the battery can fully charge up to 100%.

Hi SawItComin, we can confirm that the display unit of the Selenite is tested fine when the machine is operated on our showroom (placed on a flat surface). Do you wish to test the machine on our office to check? If there is indeed a manufacturing defect on your machine, we can try to resolve it by performing a bottom panel replacement smile.gif

Hi Uzumaki NaruTo, in regards to the webcam feed anomaly, kindly note that the issue has been rectified by a webcam module replacement performed. The laptop is now working fine & is ready for collection!~
