Hi, ladies.

I'm a life coach and also a relationship coach; quite active in "Cupid's Corner" and "Jobs and Career" subforum. I'm known to give insightful and inspirational advice in these subforums. So, yes, forumers do write in to me to seek advice and guidance, and I've served as many as 50 forumers (via inbox) since 2016.

Currently, I'm guiding/following up on several forumers who are facing various struggles in life. Some of them are my "old clients" since 2016 or 2017, and the problems they face are different/evolved. My recent case was I solved what's troubling the person for a long time... within 3 days. Of course, some cases take longer to solve; it all depends on whether clients is willing to listen and start taking action.

After serving forumers for about 3 years (700+ posts in threads & 700+ messages in inbox), I notice that most people face problems in these areas:

1. health and appearance
e.g. fat, ugly, acne-prone skin

2. personal development
e.g. lack motivation in life, feel clueless about future, low self-confidence

3. romance
e.g. can't get bf, stagnant or quarrelsome relationship

4. finances
e.g. no savings

5. career
e.g. doing a job that's boring/ don't really like

6. family and friends
e.g. family problems, hard to make friends

My view is that, if you learn to manage all the above, your life will be so much better. With some guidance, the whole process is accelerated.

***

Just to briefly introduce myself as to why I qualify as a life coach (besides having an NLP coaching cert):

I consider myself quite a successful lady, as in, I quit employment at age 29, set up my own biz, and now I'm working with several other companies to organise public events (Yup, I speak on stage). I'm also linked to local gov and MNCs in Malaysia, to provide training and also help in biz development, recruitment, and talent development.

As for my personal life, I'm currently planning my wedding and will be married to a corporate legal counsel. Our pre-wedding photoshoot, wedding ceremony and honeymoon will be held overseas, while the wedding receptions will be held in KL and my hometown. Yes, I have a travel coordinator and a wedding planner to do all these for me.

I didn't grow up with a silver spoon. Previously, I was obese, ugly and timid, with acne scars. It took me 5 years to improve and polish myself from head to toe, in and out, and hence, becoming who and standing where I am today. I'm version 4.0 of myself; that's how much I have grown and evolved. So, I have the empathy and passion to really help ladies live up to their fullest potential, after going through so much pain and frustrations myself.

***

Currently, I'm developing my own coaching programme to help ladies in the 6 listed areas. I'm looking for 15 ladies to be part of my beta/testing group.

So, if you're sincere and committed, this is what you will get:

1. You will receive free resources (personalised life coaching and planning, learning materials etc), in exchange for your valuable input and feedback during every stage of the programme development (online course modules + 3-day live event).

2. Once the full programme is ready, you can attend it for FREE and give feedback.
- Yes, you'll get to see me in real life, during the live event. I'm Chinese, tall, quite pretty and slim/toned, and speaks fluent English. & yes, I'll give meal treats too. We can yum cha and enjoy hi-tea together, just to thank you for your dedication. I'd love to know each of the participants personally, if they are open to invitations and new connections.

3. You will experience the joy of contributing your experience and knowledge to the development of a life coaching programme... that will help so many other women out there.
It'll take some time to develop the whole programme, so, I'll need your input/feedback from time to time, but only when necessary.

I'm aiming for quality (sincere and committed participants), not quantity. It gives me much joy only when my clients improve; this is something money cannot buy.

FYI, this forum is one of the platforms that I use to invite participants. The other platforms are Facebook, LinkedIn and other forums for ladies.

So, if you are interested (or have enquiries), please message me by 28 February 2019 (Thursday).

Thank you!

Yours sincerely,
Ralna

Hi, ladies.

I received some enquiries. I'll just further clarify here:

FAQ:

1. What is the time commitment required from participants?
Answer: Just one or two sessions (around 2-3 hours) every 1-2 months; online.

2. What are participants going to do?
Answer: The aim of the beta group is to test if the content is useful to ladies (plus some simple monthly activities to do), so ladies will get to learn along the way.

Topics covered are:
1. health and appearance
2. personal development
3. romantic relationship
4. finances
5. career
6. family and friends

...to help participants fully develop their potential and achieve their ideal life, and overcome any struggles in these areas. It's gonna be interactive (2-way communication), so, you can share your concerns or let me know how I can help you out.

3. What is the 3-day live event about?
Answer: Once it is up, it is about building your inner strength-- how to have resilience, grit, courage, dare to dream and be outstanding. I know of many women who wanna excel in career and in life (hopefully, can do biz one day), but they simply feel they just don't have the guts.

4. Will I develop a programme for males?
The answer is YES, but the content will be geared towards males, to be the men they are meant to be-- masculine, determined and outstanding.

Am I currently building up some males (on FB or in forum)? The answer is yes, I am, and I follow up on their progress.

If you have other enquiries, please DM me and I'll reply you there.

If you are interested or have other enquiries, please take the first step to drop me a message.

If there are 15 participants, I'll help all the 15. Even if it's just 1 lady, I'll still help her to achieve her fullest potential, and that one lady is going to be outstanding some day.

As I mentioned, I aim for quality, not quantity. If you think what I offer can truly benefit you, take up the opportunity... 10 more days to go before February 2019 ends.

Thanks, and have a productive week ahead! wink.gif

Just got back from a 7D6N trip, with 3 days spent on getting a new certificate from a U.S. certifying board.

I arrived home at 10.20 p.m. Just when I was tired and about to sleep, a high school friend messaged me on Facebook...

I shouldn't have entertained that message, because it went like this:

I've known this friend since Form 4; different classes though.

& 15 years later... she's so down, so defeated, and so toxic with much negativity...... till I finally decided to tell her how I truly felt. It was a huge relief, to be direct but tactful.

***

I'm sharing this story, as you might either be:

(A) the same type as my friend-- easily irritated and angered by people and when things don't go well

(B) facing the same dilemma like I used to-- felt like telling friends our honest opinions, but hesitated for a long, long time... so as not to hurt their feelings.

These are some of the topics that I'll cover during this coaching programme.

There are currently 5 ladies (all from lowyat forum) who have already signed up for this coaching programme, but we haven't started it. I explained to them why I'm postponing it; reason being: for this whole month of March, I'm travelling 3 out of 4 weeks to different places, for learning and leisure. We all agreed to begin our first session in April, starting with online learning and tasks first.

After dealing with this friend of mine tonight, I feel I should just extend the initial deadline so that I can have another 5 ladies joining the group, to round it to 10 pax in total.

If you're interested, please send me a private message by 31 March 2019 (Sunday). smile.gif

Thank you.

What is Coaching?

Coaching has been defined in many ways. The essence of coaching is:

1. To help a person change in the way they wish and helping them go in the direction they want to go.

2. Coaching supports a person at every level in becoming who they want to be.

3. Coaching builds awareness empowers choice and leads to change.

It unlocks a person’s potential to maximise their performance. Coaching helps them to learn rather than teaching them. Now, it is quite normal for someone to see a coach to help them achieve their goals in their life and work.

Coaching is a partnership between coach and client. The coach helps the client to achieve their personal best and to produce the results they want in their personal and professional lives. Coaching ensures the client can give their best, learn and develop in the way they wish.

It is useful to distinguish coaching from similar activities.

Mentoring
Mentoring is when a senior colleague, seen as more knowledgeable and worldly wise gives advice and provides a role model. Mentoring involves wide ranging discussions that may not be limited to the work context. A mentor is a sponsor with great professional experience in their client’s field of work. Both mentoring and coaching are concerned mainly with achievements in the present and the future.

Counseling
Counseling is working with a client who feels uncomfortable, or dissatisfied with their life. They are seeking guidance and advice. A counselor works remedially on a client’s problem.

Therapy
Therapy is working with the client who seeks relief from psychological or physical symptoms. The client wants emotional healing and relief from mental pain. Therapy deals with the client’s mental health. Coaching deals with the client’s mental growth. The client’s motive for entering therapy or counseling is usually to get away from pain or discomfort, rather than moving towards desired goals. Coaching is not remedial, it is generative. Both therapy and counseling are more likely to involve understanding and working with past experience than coaching.

Training
Training is the process of getting knowledge skills or abilities by study, experience or teaching. The trainer by definition is the expert, and the training course is likely to be targeted on specific skills for immediate results. Training is also likely to be one to many rather than one to one.

Consultancy
A consultant provides expertise and solves business problems, or develops a business as a whole. A consultant deals with the overall organization or specific parts of it and not individuals within it. Consultants only indirectly affect individuals.

Teaching
Teaching passes knowledge from teacher to student. The teacher knows something the student does not. The opposite is true in coaching. The client is the expert and the client has the answers, not the coach.
