Hi guys, i want to ask recommendation for racket. Im playing for double and more to control type, not heavy smasher. I was thinking of buying Yonex DUORA 10 SP, Yonex DUORA Z-Strike, Yonex Astrox 99. Is it good or you guys can recommend for me.  biggrin.gif
*
If you prefer control more, I suggest go for Astrox 88S.

Anyone purchased racquet from this lazada store before?
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.twQ4
Thier price seems too good to be true and the seller keep insist it's original yonex.
*
If me I won't take the risk, I know someone selling badminton stuffs told me before, for Yonex their profit margin is low, if the price is too low confirmed is counterfeit. You can check on other countries selling price, most are even more expensive than here after currency conversion. Most probably it's grade AAA that looks exactly like original, or from missing container tongue.gif

My friend bought it. I tried last week, the head is lighter than my AX99 Orange, both same specs 4U. The AX99 LCW is much easy to use, quite similar swing speed with AX88D (4U).

You can try Ling Mei (Dimgray), I'm using currently and most of us felt it's good, consistent & reliable (at least up to 2 sets).

gais... my yonex SHB-65 alpha open buaya mouth liao.. looking for replacement... want to try asics this time around because pipu say Asics shoes last longer than Yonex... but got so many different gel types.. dunno which is which..

i'm looking for one with good cushioning and lots of support. Old cocker already, knees and ankles need all the support and cushioning they can get.. any recommendation?? budget around 250 - 350
*
How long is your SHB-65 alpha? Mine 1 year ++ still no open buaya, but base tread started wearing already and the grip not so good anymore. I'm thinking to get 65Z2, but the price not cheap. My experience on Asics Gel Rocket was not bad, also last me 1 to 2 years time, but recent Asics design is quite narrow and I only wear wider version of shoe. I prefer Yonex shoes' grip are better, I think it's same theory as good grip/performance tyres worn faster than normal tyres.

*
I bought Asics Gel Rocket at Mitsui Premium Outlet when they got promotion on 1 colour, for 65 alpha I bought at Vsmash (now RM139 only) due to off season model.

arcsabers still plagued by the grommet sinking problem?
astrox got such issue or not?
*
My astrox 88d no such issue, I still believe sinking problem mostly depend on stringers, if they don't turn the grommet properly when restring, any rackets also will face the sinking problem.

anyone using yonex bg66 Force string? is it better than bg66 ultimax? right now I'm using maxbolt mbs 66 which is ok for me but want to try ultimax or force for my other racket.  biggrin.gif
*
Was my favorite string, but not long lasting. Feel good when power play.

“Was”.🤔 Now change to which string? Agree it is not a long lasting string. 😁
*
After BG66 Force, I tried Aerobite Boost but even worst, because the thinner string keep broken (within 1 - 2 month). Now stick to BG80 Power or Nanogy 98 which last longer.

QUOTE(Tomokitsu @ Oct 24 2019, 02:22 AM)
Can anyone guide me or some heads up on buying a proper badminton shoes? I recently changed to Gel Rocket 8 and sprained my ankle twice ( left then right) in the span of 1.5 months, which I suspect my shoes could possibly be the culprit as I never have any issues with previous shoes.

I used to older version of Gel Rocket, same thing happen to me will sprained my ankle once a while when I was tired. My friends using it without any ankle sprained issues at all, I believe still depend on foot works, proper foot works will reduce risk of sprained ankle.

Currently I'm using Yonex Power Cushion SHB65AW (Wide) for more than 1 year, so far never encountered sprained ankle. Reason I switched from Asics to Yonex was Gel Rocket 8 is quite narrow, I got wide feet and decided went for Power Cushion SHB65AW which is much cheaper, afterall I'm satisfied with it.

wow twice in 2 months? u must be heavy smasher  sweat.gif

I'm not a heavy smasher la, I suspect that time my racket exposed to heat (in car boot) during site visit, on the same day the string snapped during game. My bag got thermal insulation layer but if expose under sun too long inside still will hot.

Replaced with special grommets already. I got habits after 3rd or 4th string will replace all new grommets.
