My Intel stock HSF makes noise recently. So, I plan to change to 3rd party HSF.

Anyone can recommend a 3rd party HSF for my Intel P4 S478 processor?

The criteria are silent cooling provided and less than RM100. (I'm not playing games or other high-power-comsumption jobs. juz doing paperwork, low end hsf would be perfect for me.)

Thanks.

Try cleaning ur heatsink and the fan attached. It might help to lower the noise.

I am using Thermaltake pipe101, can try that too. Only thing is that you will need to lap the HS contact point making itas shiny as possible for max heat transfer.

Take the heatsink, sell off the fan and get yourself a medium speed fan.
Then aloha, you get a perfect combo.
Btw, remember to get a fan with controller.

P4 stock when idle it should be around 2500rpm. Usually sustain around 3000+rpm. If load can be 4000+rpm. This applies on presscot proc.
