Turn off the main water source.
Unscrew the cap anticlock. Use a spanner to unscrew the valve. Tape the new valve with white tape on the the new valve to prevent leaking. Use hand to screw back the new valve. Tighten with the spanner. DO NOT over tighten as it might break the T-joint inside. |

QUOTE(mini orchard @ Feb 13 2019, 04:23 PM) Turn off the main water source. that's a stopcock in the wall. Unscrew the cap anticlock. Use a spanner to unscrew the valve. Tape the new valve with white tape on the the new valve to prevent leaking. Use hand to screw back the new valve. Tighten with the spanner. DO NOT over tighten as it might break the T-joint inside. you can't change it that way. anyway........what's the issue with the stop cock? leaking water? if you are lucky, the stopcock might be seated shallow enough that you can just open the top to change the rubber washer inside and screw it back and the leak should stop. |

If the hole is big enough, you are able to replace it without breaking the tiles

QUOTE(mini orchard @ Feb 13 2019, 04:23 PM) Turn off the main water source. Just follow above method. U might wanna bring along the old valve and ask for same size from shop.Unscrew the cap anticlock. Use a spanner to unscrew the valve. Tape the new valve with white tape on the the new valve to prevent leaking. Use hand to screw back the new valve. Tighten with the spanner. DO NOT over tighten as it might break the T-joint inside. I done this before. |

Want to change the entire valve or just rubber because leaking? Two different things, and one can be costly with hacking and another are much simpler
