QUOTE(kokhoong0624 @ Feb 19 2019, 11:24 PM) Do you have an impact point? Or it’s just a hairline crack? If it’s just a hairline crack, odds are the housing is not done properly and you’ll probably win in this case no impact point, its literally a tiny L line in middle of screenbut when running a finger through it you can feel the grooves so its pretty deep will they change to a refurb for me? or swap with new model? its abt 3 months old, since 28th Oct 2019 |

QUOTE(kokhoong0624 @ Feb 20 2019, 01:19 AM) You’re likely covered thanks, this is what i wanted to know tooApple's official policy on hairline cracks is that they are covered under the following conditions: A single hairline crack or single hairline crack with a forked split (a crack that has split into two cracks. The iPhone is under warranty. The iPhone has no other damage to the glass or enclosure. No denting or drop damage. Anything else is not covered. ![]() QUOTE(kc6012 @ Feb 20 2019, 01:42 AM) hack door :OOOQUOTE(lyc1982 @ Feb 20 2019, 09:27 AM) hehe typo-ed |

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Mar 16 2019, 07:19 PM) Screen resolution and processor are also key factors in battery life. Mid range Android phones with huge batteries these days tend to last longer than flagship models because midrange processors consumes less power at the expense of tip top performance. But those things don't really matter to the average folk who don't game or use any resource intensive apps on their phones. thisAs for AMOLED vs LCD, it's not that AMOLED is more efficient, it's that AMOLED is capable of true black meaning individual pixels can turn off when not in use thus saving battery, unlike LCD in which the backlight must turn on when screen is on, even to display blacks. So unless you are always using your AMOLED with true black background in wallpaper, settings, apps etc., it's not much different from LCD. In fact, it might even consume more because AMOLED these days are generally brighter than LCD. Hence why XR is a battery beast. i find it really sad that manufacturers keep prioritising screen resolution but actually what everyone wants is long battery life. >introduce OLED panels, with screen tech that are able to turn off individual pixels for lower power consumption >brings in high ass resolution that drains battery more :x like, imagine having a XR level resolution with 4000mah battery capacity. we could actually have devices that can last days for once since the smartphone era. it doenst help that why do people think higher ppi is useful, its kinda pointless on a device where once you hold beyond 1 feet, theyre the same another gripe with apple nowadays is how come they will not put bigger capacity batteries inside. physical size wise the batteries in androids with bigger cap are almost similar to the XS/Max/XR. so how come? with how efficient A12 is, we could be seeing a huge selling point for Apple customers |

QUOTE(vez @ Mar 17 2019, 07:33 PM) just like Apple not putting higher RAM or ROM think of it this way instead lol, imagine apple charges you RM5k for an XS but with battery life of confirmed 3 days. wouldnt you be like "TAKE MY MONEY" hell, i would! QUOTE(attw @ Mar 17 2019, 07:38 PM) Too expensive to hold on to both while their value depreciate, bro im very impressed too, its no magic nor trickery its just common sense. ditch the high reso that does nothing and use an extremely efficient SoC + great power management.Exactly. If Apple had placed a 4000mAh battery in the XR it'll easily be the gold standard in battery life - of course, not counting that crazy 18,000mAh battery Energizer brick of a phone. This was my XR back last month, doing slightly over 4 hours SOT on 20 hours of standby with another 50% juice remaining. Here's my S10+ yesterday, also 20 hours on standby and 50% battery remaining - that's slightly under 4 hours SOT. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i start my day with 90-95% battery at 8am and ends at 8pm with 56% with average usage of 4hours+, thats incredible everyone used to diss apple for putting in low cap batteries in iPhones and that we are paying more for less. but what they didnt notice is the amazing work Apple did where even a low cap battery is able to challenge the behemoth batteries of androids! |

QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Mar 28 2019, 08:55 AM) we dont know who is at fault really, our phones by default has been proven that if you register with foreign countries bank that supports apple pay, it worksbut if using local cards, it rejects (i tried this too) so remains to be seen who doesnt want to support. i had a feeling its apple who wants to bring it but they dont bother pursuing cause local bank is uninterested and predicted low demand. so in the end both mutually decided theres no need to |

QUOTE(persona93 @ Jun 17 2019, 09:28 AM) with this kind of layout apple has to redesign their entire circuit board and battery tho. apple's SoC is one huge beech compared to others. even by sandwiching the PCB it helped but the majority is still eaten up by battery which will interfere with the alignment |

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Jun 30 2019, 12:33 PM) I seriously hope apple will increase the battery capacity. Even with power saver, the battery drain is bad. This morning from 100 till now already 75. No gaming just web surfing. Battery health 93% me too, but alas due to size of the other hardware, they really are constraint in space for batterieswhy else they had to resort to L shaped 2 cell batteries like laptops instead of single? :/ like, imagine an iPhone with 4000-5000mah. oh we can, its called the iPad |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Aug 16 2019, 11:02 AM) apple support ask me to get phone diagnosis report from local service provider. Yup i said their advertising is misleading, might as well dont tell that their phone is certified bla bla but no cover. It is in small fine print and not everyone go and read their warranty when nothing happened. Damn. last time my note 8 after i install whitedome screen protector i also use to wash it but no issue. so far i dont have any issue washing phone, this is the first time in my life. its not misleading, its basically what it says. "resistant" vs "proof" is totally different. apple advertise it as good for water splashes, not exactly washing with phone so youre not exactly their usual use case lads. doesnt help that there are videos of people keep testing it in worst case scenarios like dumping it in 10m deep water now i am leaving my iphone in a bag of rice for 24hours, see if it can helps. frankly my friends xperia when back then were heavily advertised for being water resistant, he dropped it into water one day and it died from water damage lol but good news is he complained to sony and sony gave him new set in return i have an apple watch with rated resistant to 5 bars, yet its still not gonna change my mind in putting electronics near water hahaha |
