QUOTE(edwankael @ Mar 13 2019, 12:21 PM) I was actually talking about the solidsuit, the microfiber seems nice but not sure about the long term durability of that microfiber finish. 4 month user of RhinoShield microfibre solidsuit here. Not exactly long term but the microfibre is still nice and soft as day one. That said, I generally take good care of my devices, never leave it on rough, dirty or wet surfaces so I have no idea how it would fare under tougher conditions. What you should worry about is rather the hard plastic part of the case. I’ve only dropped it once, from my bed, so not exactly a tall drop. Instead of just scuff marks or scratches, the plastic coating peels off like skin leaving little torn skin bits sticking out. The peeling is localised to the point of impact so it’s not big, just a slight eyesore. Never tried peeling the plastic bits off because I’m worried doing so might increase the size of the “wound”. Overall, I like it very much, especially that soft microfibre back, would be better if the case is less slippery.

QUOTE(rebus @ Mar 14 2019, 09:28 PM) I kinda expected. Samsung or is it Android OS just can't get the battery right. The Note 9 was first Sammy with 4K battery. my Realme C with 42K battery beat it. Of course some will say due to screen difference but isn't AMOLED supposed to be power efficient or something like that ... some here keep singing that. now lets see the M20 with 5K! that's all they do - increase RAM and battery size then say yes can last a whole day PS. both Note 9 and S9 plus average use only WA, web, no gaming/ music/ navigation esp navi would've killed the battery faster Screen resolution and processor are also key factors in battery life. Mid range Android phones with huge batteries these days tend to last longer than flagship models because midrange processors consumes less power at the expense of tip top performance. But those things don't really matter to the average folk who don't game or use any resource intensive apps on their phones. As for AMOLED vs LCD, it's not that AMOLED is more efficient, it's that AMOLED is capable of true black meaning individual pixels can turn off when not in use thus saving battery, unlike LCD in which the backlight must turn on when screen is on, even to display blacks. So unless you are always using your AMOLED with true black background in wallpaper, settings, apps etc., it's not much different from LCD. In fact, it might even consume more because AMOLED these days are generally brighter than LCD. Hence why XR is a battery beast.

For e-sim, what happens if I remove data plan after adding it to phone? Can I just reuse the same QR code to re-add?

QUOTE(hOnGhOnG @ May 5 2019, 10:51 PM) estimate when release ya bro? XS was announced around September but will take at least two more months for it to reach our shores, officially anyway. So maybe around November or December?

QUOTE(mikelim89 @ May 8 2019, 08:02 PM) Hi All, Just wondering whether is anyone facing the same issue as mine. Intended to get an Esim yesterday. Unfortunately, I have been told by Maxis Representative that they couldn't locate the "Add Cellular/Data Plan" at the Mobile setting. Went to QCB Sunway Pyramid and Mac City 1 Utama and even done a complete factory reset and yet the issue still there. Just wondering whether is there any tricks could be reactivated back the setting? Thank you in advance for the help! eSIM on iPhone is not offered in China mainland. In Hong Kong and Macau, only iPhone XS features eSIM.

QUOTE(Chubbyteddy @ Jul 6 2019, 10:12 AM) thats weird. you directly scan the code can use or is there any setting need to be set? will be going to maxis to sort it out. QUOTE(Chubbyteddy @ Jul 6 2019, 11:29 AM) Telco lock is the reason. Mine is hybrid unlock hence no issue with physical sim card but esim is lock. Lol. Well you just answered your own question. Mine is an unlocked set so it just works.
