Which computer hardware you spend the most on?

Graphic Card ofcourse... sometimes two times the price of the proc I'm using...

No doubt it is the graphic card.

Buy one 8800 ultra which is already equivalent to a moderate-end rig!!!!

For my current rig, the motherboard, but for the next coming one, most probably the Processor...

The monitor! That's the most important thing as it's what u really look at day in , day out. You can haf the best system in the whole world but if it all looks like shite n hurts ur eyes after long hours of work then it's all quite pointless. U shud haf the best monitor 1st b4 u even think about spending big bux on gfx cards.

It would be the LCD monitors. That is the most important computer hardware for me.

I have a friend with a AMD Athlon 3000+ and a 6800 Ultra but on a 15" CRT monitor... the monitor if I'm not mistaken... he bought it around 2002...

for me its graphic card..bought my Galaxy around RM760 last time
after this maybe the record will be held by my incoming Samsung 226BW

Hard drives for me. There's never enough space.

Would've gone for monitors but I'm still using my 4-year-old LCD. Hardly a lot of money spent on that thing compared to drives.

im using lappie...oso all in one.... kenot spend more....so i spend most on hard disk....500gb...woof...

Just downgraded from ATi HD2900XT to nVIDIA 8800GTS 640MB.

my lcd too. cost the most among all my components.

in my case, the monitor i'm on refurbished Dell CRT 21" , best graphic/gaming monitor i ever had

we can use spending ratio.

for example

usually my spending ratio for CPU : Mobo : GC : Monitor is
1:1:2:2 however, RM 300 for CPU and mobo, GC and monitor is RM 600.

recently i changed 1:1:2:2 to 1:1:2:4.5 cos due to my work requiremets, i decided to get 20" Dell 2007WFP.

Mine would be HDDs for now....never enough space as D3x says XD

u call that as downgrade... lol

but ppl who spend more than RM200 for keyboard,mice is

downgrade to a part that we wish to upgrade to.

i refuse to spend more than RM 150 on keyboard. and i refuse to spend more than RM 100 on mice.

RM 60 - 100 range is ok already la, at least to me. not those el-cheapo mouse + keyboard total RM 40.

that is for hardcore FPS player

I think with a decent and good enough LCD, in the end graphic card determines what you see. Especially when u play games

speaker is very important for me

For me, could well be my LCD monitor and GC. Both costing roughly the same. Come to think about it, if its included, my cooling stuff are roughly at the same price as well. Plenty of fans, coolers, HSF lying around..

GC for me and it still the first component that become obsolete first.

it's always gonna be GC for me lol. and yea Cheesenium, it's always the first in my rig to go obsolete hehe

mine is monitor, then is graphic card. pamper my eyes always

spending 300 for keyboard like G15 and razer mice around 200
might as well spend on bluetooth laser virtual key board (that's just jaw dropping )
Then again there are other uber expensive like Optimus Maximus keyboard

i spend for speaker.. my speaker price more expensive than my GC and Proc..

the most expensive component of my rig is my LCD. for all the other parts i just spend what is needed and try not to go over the top.

Should be CPU.

i spend the most on my 19inch lcd..

Graphics card for me. Depends on mood, sometimes up to three times a year, this year only upgrade once

i voted Casing.. but.. i spend Gc, monitor and other stuff a lot also. now broke.

i spend most on my graphic card la...

but me it's gonna be proc[Penryn/45nm],LCD[Samsung 226BW],RAM[4GB] and GC[ATI HD2950XTX]

I wonder how many graphic cards I bought since my AMD K6-2....

i change my graphic card once every two years ;(
what a waste..when this upgrading stuff gonna end..

LOL..There are more people out there are changing hardwares like changing clothes..I also wish to have more money to change stuff but too bad...Technologies keep coming in so fast and hard to catch up..

i bought my benq t705 for 700 bucks last time..now 500 bucks oni

i bought my 17" dell at 999 wor...........now only 500.........but i still satisfy with it

proc for me. i never really into gaming, so basically doin graphic related work (non-3D), so i need proc speed and ram.

spend almost RM900 for my LCD monitor, and will spend the same amount again when 22inch wide screen drop to this price

frequently change or highest price tag for 1 stuff...

1. Graphic card - cos mostly will consider to upgrade the graphic card...
2. Mamory - also will take consideration in upgrading...

i think the most expensive investment i would make is the motherboard... with a stable and oc able mobo, whats the point of having all expensive goods

If gt money, i will change the Mainboard at 1st....

most expensive now a days should be the GPU especially after nvidia and ati started launching the 2k+ cards....

2 years ago 17inch LCD still expensive mah . now with RM900 can almost get a 20+inch liao. it is expected this price will drop further. but im gonna upgrade to new Agena later this year or maybe b4 cny next year, then only get a new 22inch widescreen

Hard disk for me. Although not that much. 1 x 320gb, 1 x 200gb, 1 x 80gb(not mine already, I give it to my house PC) and 1 x 2.5" 40gb.. Planning to buy another 400gb hd in a few months time. *Sigh*... Nowadays HD space is never enough.

so far...the most expensive i spend is on my samsung monitor...

but now switched to laptop,
