Serious here... anyone know which JPN branch in KL/PJ can change IC (cos my chip cannot read) and on the same day pick up?

Mostly can, I did mine in less than an hour at pudu sentral recently. Early Jan

Ayam at utc sentul, the officer said half hour can get new Ic, but the queue is sibeh long.

Went to the JPN at State, PJ on the 1 FEB. It's the waiting part to hand over you IC that takes the longest. Taking Picture with 5 mins then wait another 30 mins to get IC. Probably took 2 and a half hours in total.

I replaced my IC at UTC Pudu about 1 month ago on a Thursday morning. I arrived there at 8:15am, collected my new IC at 9:05am. Very efficient and polite staff there.

I change due to old card/chip fault.

weekday 11am submit, 1pm collect. Go lunch in between.

All JPN at all UTC can get within 30 minutes after process at the counter (waiting before process at counter different timing), all state's HQs, and some big branches nationwide.

Other small branches, 5 working days.
Online application, 10 working days.

Most branches same day now, like others have said some even got within the hour

why JPN Sri Serdang need to wait 2 weeks ?

UTC Pudu confirm 2-3 hours. I got mine 2 hours there few years ago, replacement damaged chip.

The officer ask me to go apply for new IC, settle both in 1.5hour.

I change my IC because of defective chip about 1 hour in pj. But come before 11am otherwise might take longer. Also wear a dark shirt otherwise have to wear the jacket provided

most IC replacement done on the same day.. unless they don't have stock for blank IC..

Most of the time it's ready within 2 hours unless you're unlucky and the system is down.

I went at 10 and got mine at 12. Some fellas who went at 8 on the same day couldn't get theirs before mine because of some server problem. Not sure how the system is programmed, but you'll only need to wait if you're unlucky.

I did my ic in jpn shah alam. But finger print can’t read. So can’t get on same day. Jpn not open on Saturday. Is it possible to ask them to send to utc so i can collect on Saturday?

penang komtar UTC can settle everything in less than an hour. I renewed mine around 4.45pm and got my IC before 5.30pm. however JPJ renew driving license took me from 1030am to 4.40pm.
