Can't decide which one. Let's take price out of the equation and focus on performance, comfort and noise levels.

If not mistaken the Conti UC6 is available for that size (195/55 R15 right?). Should perform better then the CC6.

By the way what do you want from a tire? More grip means less comfort/worse noise.. Its one or the other..

Focus on which you want the most, performance or comfort? If performance, ventus v12 evo2, ps3/ps4 is one of the best. If comfort, cc6, ecopia, xm2 are the good ones.

None of your list! They are all just low-mid range models so performance are no good. Get Hankook V12 Evo 2, only around rm165/pc, gives you better performance, comfort, and relatively low noise, the best value for money.

Sorry for asking noob questions but why are the other tyres considered way better and cheaper than a tyre like Triplemax 2?

Triplemax 2 is Goodyear's mid range model. Hankook V12 Evo 2 or PS3/4 are already higher category performance tires (UHP category). For Goodyear, the UHP category is the F1 series. V12E2 and PS3/4 rival with F1 series.

And despite being a higher category, it is still cheaper than Goodyear's mid range while having better performance and comfort too? hmm.gif

Would you recommend fitting PS3 on a 2008 Myvi?

Goodyear is top tier brand like Bridgestone, Michelin, Continental, Pirelli. So they have a bit premium price. Hankook on the other hand is 2nd tier brand so their prices are much more competitive. A lower model of Goodyear may not be better than a top end Hankook even if the Goodyear is more expensive. Think of it like price of Mercedes vs Toyota.

If you got the budget why not? Buy the best you can afford, that's always my recommendation for tires.

Really appreciate the feedback.

As price is not an issue atm, out of all the options available, would you say PS3 > V12 Evo 2 > Potenza?

I've been using Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 for several years and just recently changed to Triplemax 2. I just followed what my mechanic recommended. Based on your feedback, I'll get the ones you guys suggested next.

It depends what you want out of your tyres

But i can see from your initial post u prefer an all round tyre which has comfort as well as excellent grip in the wet and very good grip in the dry.

Then yes michelin ps3 is your answer. Rm 230 max per tyre or you are being chopped by the shop tho. Do check out Kota kemuning and klang for better pricing below that amount

I'd give V12E2 a slight edge over PS3 especially in the dry. PS3 is only slightly better in aquaplaning resistance when in heavy rain. Given that the price of PS3 is about 200-230/pc vs V12E2 at only rm165-180/pc then overall V12E2 is the better buy.

For me

Dry grip, corner,touge and track: Re003 > ps3 > v12 evo2

Hence I have been using this tyre for both my cars.

The sedan Latio once worn out I'll swap to PS3 since I need the aquaplaning resistance and I don't drive as aggressive on it as I do on myvi.

V12evo2 when the other 2 has no promotion haha

Yes, the myvi would benefit from better grip (during braking) and it's good in wet (it rains like every other evening in KL)

I actually looking for a new tyre too for my Myvi. More too comfort. I dont drive too fast especially during rain. Need a tyre that can eat bump and lower noise than stock tyre, Goodyear Assurance TripleMax.

So far many said CC6 is the best. I was actually about to buy it but heard there also many bad review too. Some said it is a dangerous tyre which focus too much on comfort and almost zero on safety and performance. Not sure if it true or he just got a bad tyre. Anyone got experience on it?
