If he is active then consider it to be a good problem.

Perhaps you might want to bring him out and do some activities that involves him walking, running and crawling a lot more. Perhaps bring him to a park where he could run his legs out, wear off that energy a bit.

At that age no amount of scolding or shouting will work, instead if he is throwing a tantrum due to being unable to get something try distracting him away from what he was after and keep at it.

At this age kids are simply discovering what and who they are. You scolding won't do anything beyond expressing your own annoyance, not that he cares anyway.


Is the food you feeding him having a smell that he does not like? Try something different and at that age you can start giving some adult food, just use a scissors to cut it into smaller pieces. Let him eat what you are eating.

Some babies are simply that picky.

In regard to the teeth, do check the condition of his teeth, perhaps one of his tooth has an infection and it is pain for him to eat thus he refuses food.

Also has there been any type of change in circumstance around the house recently? Are you always quarreling with the mother? At that age kids do become sensitive to such things and could react to it that way.

My advise? Watch your own temper first and be patient.
