Was wondering, how does the JMB formally allocate parking lots to units? Assuming the parking lot is a multi storey car park, there's two schools of thought here:
1. I pay more for a higher unit, hence I should get a lower parking lot (easier access) 2. The parking lot is an accessory to the unit and is not 'bought' per se, hence to maintain fairness, higher units are allocated higher (worse) parking bays whereas lower units get lower parking lots (better)
My unit is 3 floors away from the highest floor, but I was allocated parking lots on the 2nd highest floor.

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Feb 8 2019, 12:09 AM) This is newly completed property? Or property completed long time ago but got no dedicated parking lot and now JMB decide to allocate each unit with their own dedicated parking lot? Newly completed last year.

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Feb 8 2019, 12:40 AM) Then I dont see why JMB involve here. Developer should be the one assigning the car park lot when they hand over the keys to you. And I assume it is not clearly stated the car park slot in the S&P. Normal practice from developer (but not applicable to all coz there is no exact ruling on this): 1. Higher floor unit, lower floor car park. And vice versa. 2. Unit further to the lift, car park allocated nearer to the lift. And vice versa. Lazy developer will just place accordingly one unit after another, starting from the lowest floor and up. So it depends. No rule. It is stated in the S&P with the floor and parking lot number, just that the developer did not mention how the lots were allocated - lots of room for hanky panky with the developer, especially for those with many strings to pull. Thanks for your input
