I'm still driving one. Bought it brand new in 2004. One of the best cars I've driven.

Mine was maintained by UMW until 3 years ago.

The only problem with mine is that the side mirrors are dead. Can't fold and can't adjust. It's been dead after 6-7 years of buying the car. The cost to change was RM700++ per piece if I remember correctly. Didn't bother with it since don't really need to fold and adjust the mirrors.

Mine is about 200,000km so far and still running fine.

My parents car is a toyota altis year 2004 facelift.
Fuel consumtption is 550km of ron 95 for a full tank.
Highway can get up to 660km.
Have replaced the absorbers, absorber mountings when the mileage was 80000km. Replaces with better absorbers, less bouncy.. the ride even better than new car.
Repaired the air cond cooling coil at 100k km, spoilt due to wear and tear.

The car is 15 years now. Have replaced the rear bearing once. Replaced 2 front sides power windows. The rest are all good.

It is a good car. U just need to take care of it. Replace and service according to the service manual.

As moat malaysians dont take care of their car air cond, most of it will fail before 100k km.

My iswara air cond is already 200k km, still in perfect condition. Not that iswara air cond is lasting, it is how you take care of it. Service your air cond every 40k km. Poor air cond condition equals to poor fuel consumption.

How to check if the air cond is in tip top condition? Quite simple though.
Turn to max fan, the air flow should be very strong, this means the air filter is not clogged.
The air cond should cool the cabin within 5 minutes if the car is under a shade or car porch.
