I have installed a new iTunes 7.2 software in my Vista OS and it can't connected to iPod store and it stated a message " iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was rest. " I have checked all the possible problem like setting of network, firewall, network filtering. It seem tat, I still can't log in to that. Must be something to do with some other programs using the same ports. I have similar problem on my Mac when running my p2p app. I need to dc my p2p before I can connect to iTunes Store.

I'm having intermittent problems on my Mac as well, it's either really slow and can't connect at all to the iTunes Store. However sometimes it works great. Is it another of TMnet's attempt at filtering?

Connection to iTunes Store is kinda poor lately, it will pause for some time right before loading, just refresh it, or click home, it will load again. Usually it works.
Downloading from iTunes Store had been slower also.

I only can connect to iTunes Store once in a while. You might want to look up out on the network forum. TMnet apparently has blocked iTunes.

QUOTE(kwekeugene @ Jun 16 2007, 11:10 AM) nouras, Malaysia is definitely NOT "one of em". We don't have any iTunes store. Unless you have a US addressed credit card, you won't be able to buy music from the Store. An alternative is buying iTunes Gift Cards/certificates from eBay. haha i meant to say not. left that out.. just checked em out on ebay and they can run pretty high o some of em... for $20 certificate got up to $30 selling price lol.. but even if i do have a gift certificate don't i have to sign up first? what kinda details they expecting when you sign up

Click on the "Redeem" button. And then follow through to create an account. You will have an option when creating that account to choose "None" as payment method. This option is not available when you try to create an account without a Gift Card. After that is basicly fill in name, address and what not. Added on June 16, 2007, 9:21 pmRegarding buying from eBay. I have seen quite a few sellers who sell cheaper or the card as per value. Check which sellers are reputable and all they have to do is email you the gift code. This way, you can save on shipping. Unless of course you want the cool looking gift cards.... This has been a problem ever since TMNet implemented their 'wonderful' packet-shaping hardware. The solution is to use a proxy to strip out the user-agents in the HTTP requests that iTunes makes. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=400109

I'm currently using 2 broadbands : a) Streamyx and (b) in-house broadband from the condo provider. For (a) the connection to ITMS slow or sometimes can't go thru. For (b) no connection problem at all.

I can't seem to authorise my iMac to play songs on iTunes. I keep getting Error -50. If I key in the wrong password, it tells me so which means it's connecting to itms successfully. I can browse and download songs from iTunes with no probs. My iMac is using the PAW proxy(for HTTP proxy) running on my Windows PC. Both are behind a 3com router. I can authorise the PC with no probs. It's just the damn iMac that's not working. Wierd huh? Usually it's the PC who has all the problems.

I'm using the US store. No probs in acccessing it either. Just that I cannot authorize nor de-authorize my iMac. Both attempts give me an error -50. I can "Check for purchases..." with no probs. Strange.
