Sex is something which start in the mind. So whether its nice or not is a matter of how you feel it to be.

Sex can have so many variations. Our Indian friends made an art out of it. And I think everyone would agree that doing one monotonous thing, no matter what it is and how exciting it initially was, will get boring one day.

There's nothing wrong with curiosity. If your partner likes it and you don't mind, why not. Like everything in life, exploring new things together helps keeping the relationship alive.
