Any reason why does it have to be a DSLR in the 1st place?

Yes I study in graphic design & my lecturer asked me to buy DSLR for photography I & II courses, I can borrow from university too but I want whole freedom

I don't see why you can't use a mirrorless camera or even a compact with manual shooting to study photography... don't think it has to be a DSLR.

But anyway the Canon 1300D is a decent start. I would suggest Sony A6000 instead if you can top up, much smaller and lighter.

But if budget is low, just buy a used one. See my signature heheh

I actually have an Olympus Pen series, I tried to use that but can not, I need to take bulb (light painting photos) those options are not there also for best slow shutter fast shutter those are not that effective, besides I thought if I get a DSLR then I might be able to work as a freelance photographer too tongue.gif

will u be using this everyday/weekly/once a week/per project?
buying for investment or requirement for course only?
planning to have side income? or getting return on investment.

if for course only, pinjam uni la
or share or pinjam from friend

planning to buy for temporary use
buy used camera

planning to use to generate income
buy new camera, used lenses.

all alternative to the above.
RENT, share among friends.
