QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Feb 14 2019, 10:55 AM) Yes. Didn’t you know that? 95Mbps is to be expected, give or take. Try using Cat 6 or wired and 5GHz AC 40 or even 80MHz if you can, and see if that makes a difference. ahh i see, sad case, but okay, thanks for suggestion.QUOTE(soonwai @ Feb 14 2019, 10:58 AM) Usually we get just above 100Mbps on fibre. If a consistent 95Mbps on wired LAN, could be the 100Mbps ethernet ports on your router, BTU or devices. Alright, will check on it.QUOTE(Max @ Feb 14 2019, 11:01 AM) VDSL copper or Fiber ur apartment wiring? Not sure tho, my whole building ppl using Maxis fibre and Unifi too. Previously i used was Streamyx, but i did saw them pulled a fibre cable into my house during installation.just missing the Hypptv box rite? need use the mobile hypptv app? Yup, now the hypptv only available to watch on mobile devices. This post has been edited by MinGR: Feb 14 2019, 12:12 PM |

QUOTE(Ivan Sac @ Feb 14 2019, 12:15 PM) Did Unifi charge anything extra for pulling fibre cable. Which floor you are staying and how much you are paying for your Unifi. Nope, i think it doesnt exceed the limited length. Sorry i cant fully disclose my floor, but I can its between 1st to 5th floor. But the guy connect the fibre to my building's generator-like room.RM129 per month, 100mbps. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Feb 14 2019, 01:17 PM) My auntie's apartment in Pangsaria also like that. They only had Streamyx until sometime last year. TM pulled individual fibre cable from the ground floor, up the main riser and direct to each unit. On each floor, you can see all the black fibre cables snaking along the corridors to the apartments. She's on the 5th floor, not sure high it goes. SOP i think, for mine the generator-like room is located at every floor's middle part. I think its an "extension" from the main ports. Im not sure, i just learnt how they all do wiring and networking, really pro. |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Feb 14 2019, 03:19 PM) The 'generator-like room' is the IDF, or Intermediate Distribution Frame, compared to the MDF, or Main Distribution Frame, which is located somewhere in your building or around the vicinity of your building. See here for a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9bT_hmWfHA Wow, thanks man for the knowledge! |
