Which Tomato firmware you used for DIR-868L?
I'm using the latest FreshTomato 2019.2 but couldn't get connect to the Internet. I've followed KLSeet Shibby Tomato guide for VLAN setup.

Ahh too bad for a 2 years old firmware. No patch for KRACK vulnerability. I have reported to the devs behind the FreshTomato, hopefully they able to fix it.

Since my old router is unable to support Turbo speed 300Mbps at both LAN and Wifi (Up to 100Mbps only), I have decided to get a free router replacement by renewing contract with TM.

I did consider to top up money to purchase a better router and might get better performance in Wifi. But as we all know, it is not possible get full Wifi speed 300Mbps in real life, due to signal coverage, distance, network congestion and interference. So I am ok with it as long as the Wifi speed can achieve 100~200Mbps.

May I know which has the best performance among the stock router (TP-Link C1200, D-Link DIR-842, D-Link DIR-850L) provided by TM?

My Speedtest at dslreport never hit 500m down like him. My speed only around 200m down at dslreport

Check back my original post . I test speed in few sites non of them hit over 200m.

Maybe you can take a speed test at dslreport.

That speed is not mine. Did you read my original post? Mine only get around 200m. My Peak speed at 24.2 MBps x 8 bits = 193.6 mbps



AFAIK this guy taqu clearly didn't read what I post. OK my unifi plan is 500m and his Unifi plan is 500m too. dslreport is not hosted in Malaysia then? Explain to me why his 500m unifi plan getting 500m download speed at dslreport and Mine unifi plan 500m only getting 200m download speed at dslreport . Now did you get what Im saying? My speed is capped at 200m outside speedtest.net.

Ok already complaint to TM. TM technician came and change the router to Dlink DIR-842 now all my speed are able to achieve 500m.

You have tenda ac18 router right? can you take a few test? like steam download and take a speedtest at dslreport
