Hi, I have lots of old acne scar on my nose and cheek. Can you guys recommend me any good product, that I can try? My skin type is dry😭. I regret popping my pimples and not taking care of my face when I was in secondary school. Now in university, I realise the importance of taking care of my face. It really affects my confidence and self esteem 😞

Only thing that works are:

Fractional co2 laser.

I did Nd:YAG laser for my superficial acne scars.
Price range 350-500 for face only.

You can also do Microneedling.

All the treatments should be performed by a real skin specialist dermatologist doctor at a clinic or hospital

If you're talking about hypertrophic, ice-pick or other forms of depressed scars then using products isn't enough, I'm afraid. The most they can do is to reduce hyperpigmentation.

I tried this:

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT); commonly called derma roller or micro-needling.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) also known as micro-needling is a procedure that improves the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks by stimulating your skin’s natural ability to repair itself. Collagen Induction Therapy uses tiny, sharp needles to create hundreds of micro-channels in the superficial layers of the skin. In response to these micro-injuries, your body releases growth factors and cytokines, which trigger the wound-healing process. During this process, the body produces more collagen a fibrous protein that contributes to the structural integrity of the skin resulting in thicker more youthful-appearing skin.

Basically, you "destroy" your old skin to produce new skin. The new skin is finer and smoother.

Cost RM500-700 per session. How many sessions needed? Depends on how severe your acne scars are.

My face after 6 sessions:

That was 2-3 years ago. Now perfect skin.

Products don't work if acne scars are serious. I tried many products and threw away many.

Hi Ralna, appreciate if you could advise/share with me where have you done your treatment? I have been wanting to tried out laser/CO2 Laser. But I am in doubt in most clinics in KL as the ones I searched - with some bad/negative feedback.
