Well, you can't actually compare with those K-series before as this phone really comes with lots of features. I can say it should be more then RM 2,000.

You can compare k700i to k750i, back to the times when 2MP was a WOW factor where k700i only has a 0.3MP cam.

5mp with 3.2mp i think lots of different in terms of price as well, its jez my thinking...

Thinking about it 2mp camera used to cause RM1000 and now 7mp only cost less than RM700. If follow this logic and just treat it as a camera + phone, it should not cost more than RM 1500.

Judging from your reasoning, then 3 generation later, it will cost more than RM3000?


Anyhow i find the glow around the camera lens unnecessary, making it seems more like a toy than a professional-looking phone. Does it still carry that annoying red AF light?

Well, as always the trick here is to screw up the early adopters with >RM 2k pricing and stabilize to RM 1.8k right after that. It may have many features but it isn't a smartphone so it can't stay at RM 2k for long.

it wont cost over rm 3k la.. see last time we predict k810 price.. rm 2k la rm 1.9k la.. at the end juz rm 1.4k oriset.. so dun need worry bout the price la.. rrm 2.2k max i can say for this model.. they also have a competitor n95 to beat.. so overpricing kills them..

woah, with 5.0mp is getting close to digital camera i think canon should start develop their camera into camera-phone function.

Don't ever compare to N95(symbian phone somemore). K850i price sure will be around Rm2k. or RM1999 as usual for startup Kseries..

I still stand by my earlier estimation of the K850i, it being not > RM 2k, and that will mean somewhere around RM 1,999.
