Well then it must be a solution to this.
But sad case that toyota service centre didnt have any idea about this problem.
I cannot biasa this symptom. It is very annoying when u feel the vibration on and off.

I know this is an old post
but here some thing you could try
1. CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner: https://amzn.to/2pt6Uob
Sensor Lazada

Please enlighten me with above problem.

During idle, without AC is 700rpm. When AC kicks in, rpm raise to 800, then drop to 600, then raise to 750, then drop to 650, then slowly goes to 700.
This only happen on cooling fan speed is LOW.
When cooling fan speed is HI, AC kicks in, rpm raise and stay steady.

I've cleaned done below...
Replaced air filter, no good.
Cleaned throttle body, no good.
Replaced halfcut throttle body, no good.
Cleaned MAF, no good.
Reset ECU, no good.
Cleaned up VVTI filter, no good.
Replaced coolant, no good.
Cleaned up Crank Shaft Position sensor, CAM sensor, no good.
Replaced new battery, no good.
Replaced PCV valve, no good.

Sent in Toyota service centre, diagnosed but no findings. Even the tech ride with me and monitoring the scantool, still no findings.

In this video, AC kicks in at 00:01, idle hunting up and down, until it find its sweet point at 00:20.

Check this; press gas paddle all the way down then switch ignition to ON hold for 10 seconds release paddle then start engine should solve your issue.

Hey TS, I've had the same issue as you and had been diagnosing this issue at Toyota service centre and many many workshops.
Finally I've gotten the issue settled and the car is at tip top performance.

It is the O2 sensor, I've changed both of them, and the issue is gone.
PM me if you want to get the O2 sensor at a cheaper price.

Gotten both at under RM700 =)

1. Compressor flushed with new refrigerant and oil. When coolant temp is high, or refrigerant pressure is high, idling is stable while AC kicks in. I would say that compressor is not the rootcause.

2. The rpm never dip below 500 in any kind of situation.
And yes, it happens after it went into closed loop.
Yes, Pre cat (AFR) and Post cat (o2) sensor.  I've monitored AFR sensor behavior, it's reading shows it is working as normal. it fluctuate between 0.1 - 0.9v while idling.
o2 sensor reading at steady around 0.5v. This reading proof it is working as well as the catalytic converter is working.

Now i have new finding.
I am monitoring Timing Advance in OBD reader.
When AC kicks in, TimingAdvance retards, RPM will drops, TimingAdvance advances, RPM raises. RPM become stable when TimingAdvance stabilize.
Timing is controlled by ECU, but which sensor is providing info to ECU? MAF? AFR sensor?

Guys, how many catalytic converter are there on the Vios ncp93?
