I'm wondering why did SE release the GPS enabler with a earphone in 1 device instead of 2 seperate devices?

Doesn't make much sense to me at this point of time.

ever recall thier thier FM receiver also built-in to thierhandsfree?

the fact i believe is the GPS already built-in. and the hansfree is a bonus to make it have better signal receive/broadcast for GPS.

The HGE-100 is compatible with a host of recent Sony Ericsson phones, including the popular K800 Cyber-shot(tm) phone.

nope... i dont think GPS built in others model accept inside K530i. others still can use the HGE-100 as a handsfree only.

no.. the GPS should work with other models. SE mentioned that the GPS HGE-100 should be compatible with all Sony Ericsson mobile phones with Java support from Sony Ericsson K800 onwards. Why would you need java for?
