I just install the Ad-Aware 2007 Free. After using it, I find I dislike it. I tried uninstalling it but failed in numerous attempts. This is the eror I always get:

[attachmentid=247856]

These are my uninstallation methods:

1. Uninstall using Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
2. Uninstall using the programs' own uninstall shortcut
3. Uninstall using the programs original installation file > aaw2007.exe
4. Uninstall using jv16 Powertools 2007
5. Uninstall using Your Uninstaller! 5.0
6. Reinstall the program and repeat all of the above.
7. Repeat all the steps above in safe mode.

All of them failed! I need help!!!

I reverted to the old fashion way of uninstalling because I found no cure. Not even when I installed the latest Windows Installer 3.1 v2. What I did was delete every folder available that has Lavasoft or Ad-Aware in my local disks. Of course I had to stop the services of the active programs such as aawservices.exe or something like that. Then I used TweakUI, Regedit and MSconfig to undo the damages to my registries, etc. I could have used jv16 Powertools 2007 or Your Uninstaller!, but I just had to try the old fashion way to make sure I still remember how to eliminate all those leftovers. Then I used CCleaner to mop up. Man, wasted my time.

Maybe it's just that I'm unlucky, but I wouldn't recommend Ad-Aware 2007 Free 7.0.1.3 for the moment. Sticking to my Bitdefender & NOD32.
