i'm wondering what is the rough estimate to spend on a decent acoustic guitar? im on intermediate level, so no need too good also nevermind.

P/S : I forgot to ask what's a good brand for intermediate acoustic guitar players like me?

To me 1-2k you can already get a very good acoustic, important thing is to test them all

3k++ is more attention to detail and down to how picky you are hahaha

yeahhhhhhhhhhhh...

well, I'd suggest go to a guitar store, get the idea about the price range and quality.

I previously used a Squire got it from friend. But the sound is not quite I wanted. Well I got what I paid for.

Get Cort or L.Luthier Acoustic, around RM 500- RM 700. Ok lohh for start

if you professional, and gain money from playing music, then consider either Taylor or CF Martin or Farida. There's a lot!

There are wide selection of decent accoustic guitars for you to choose from within the 1K price bracket.

Brands such as Ibanez, Epiphone, Cort, Fender, Yamaha can serve the purpose.

It's best to audition them before making any purchase.

1. Set your budget.
2. Go to the store to test them.

For me most important in playing guitar is not really the brand but the feel of the guitar itself in my hands. If the the sound is good but the handling or playing makes me unconfortable then I may not buy it.

For electric, just add one more condition. Make sure the guitar to have a nice ringing unplugged.

I have a few good used guitars. To me they feel 'warmer', like they have an old soul in them. Make sure you bring someone experienced though if you're testing used ones. Most of them are crap but there are some gems out there.

Acoustics for intermediate or pro or beginner, does not matter which brand but u should buy one with electric neck. Some acoustic songs do use those high notes and that is one of my regrets for not buying one like that. luckily my acoustics now is a cheap taiwan made.

decent guitar = decent money
of course, depends on a lot of aspects.
I recommend buying a good guitar and don't count your funds too much. It's always better to spend a little more but to be sure you won't have to buy another one after 1 or 2 months

Price is relative...Some will say RM3k for a guitar is well worth it, while others don't. At the end of the day, do you feel comfortable playing it? Does it make you enjoy it? If the answer is no to both...then it didn't matter if it's RM300, RM3k or RM30k...you are never going to like that guitar, and you will most likely give up playing guitar because of it.

Guitar is one of those thing that you have to touch it, hold it, play with it. A RM300 guitar can play as good as RM3K guitar. And vice versa. You just have to go and experience it yourself. It's different for everyone.

Agreed to most of your statement
But a rm 300 guitar will never be as good as a rm3k guitar, but the rm3k might be as good as a Rm10k guitar
